Room was pleasant. Enjoyed the Privilege Room. However the bathrooms are extremely small and the shower has inadequate partitions/shower curtain to keep from water from soaking the entire floor. How is anyone able to shower without creating significant water damage? Very poorly designed. Also the curtains in the room were broken and did not close properly. This should not be at a supposedly "upscale" hotel with a premium price. We did not receive the "value" for the extra cost at the Mercure.

The hotel is correct, clean and with good service. It's conveniently placed near a train, metro and tram stations. Not far from city center. With the All Accor account, there are some nice extras like bottled water in the room. The main objections for me are: 1) The relatively small shower, that is not well enclosed. So the water pours out of it very easily. 2) The breakfast offer. Neither truly Hungarian. Nor international. Average quality of pastry. And unable to get a cooked breakfast (bacon, fried eggs, sausages,...). 3) The overall decoration, ambience and restaurant/bar service does not make the place warm. Someone decided it was a good idea to make it look like a urban alley (with graffittis, strong ilumination,...). Not a good choice for a resting place.

I had a wonderful stay at the Mercure Budapest Castle Hill and was impressed by the overall experience. The room was beautiful, with modern decor and all the comforts I needed for a relaxing stay. As an Accor Gold Member, I was delighted to find a bottle of wine waiting for me in the room—a thoughtful touch that made me feel truly appreciated. The hotel’s location is fantastic, providing easy access to the stunning Castle Hill area and other key attractions in Budapest. The staff were friendly and professional, adding to the positive experience. This property goes above and beyond to recognize loyalty members and provide a memorable stay. I highly recommend it and would love to return in the future.
