We had a a brake down of our car and got it repaired closed to Blois. They recommended the Mercure Hotel near by. Coming to the hotel we were met by an exceptional friendly reception employees. We have stayed many times at Mercure hotels in Europe, but the staff at this hotel were just incredible and very professional. A special thanks to Daniel at the reception desk who just helped us with everything. So happy to stay at your hotel and we for sure coming back.

We do expect a level equivalent to 4 stars when booking Mercure hotels.,this is the reason why we book Mercure on our journeys. "Mercure Blois centre" is extremely clean, the staff is very gentle and we feel safe . The restaurant offers a fantastic meal for a good price. We love the place

Clean hotel with a contemporary feel and modern amenities. Its winning points are the nearby free parking and the great wellness centre with real customer centric hours. The also have a bar and a restaurant onsite which is great when you arrive after a long drive and do not feel like hunting down food and entertainment. Highly recommended for a romantic or a family stay.

Overall, the experience was very good. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. The food is delicious. After having been here on numerous business trips, I finally tried the jacuzzi and the sauna. Now I am mad at myself for not enjoying them on past trips. My last comments here are regarding a couple of issues that occurred during my stay. One evening (Saturday) I was not able to get into the dining room, since I did not have a reservation. As a hotel guest, the thought of making a reservation for eating at the restaurant never crossed my mind. If this is a common issue (having a full restaurant is a good problem to have especially now) it may be a good reminder when checking in to be told of this possibility. I made reservations for the next evening. The last item pertains to my room. The drain for the tub would not release the water. I had to physically lift the stopper up and set it aside, to allow the tub to drain. I was going to notify the staff, but kept forgetting to do it. I thought it may be obvious for housekeeping to see the issue but apparently not.

Unfortunately we were put in a handicap room. It felt like we were staying in a hospital. Shower leaked into rest of bathroom. Handicap toilet uncomfortabl for those not handicapped. Dinner was disappointing and slow.

Beautiful lobby, great service, tired rooms

The reception and lobby are beautiful. The swimming pool is very nice . The service was really excellent, I got very quick answers to my emails and phone calls with questions and was very pleased with that. The rooms however were tired and in need of an update. The carpet felt really old, the doors to bathroom and closet were old and scruffy. The bathroom on the other side was perfect and the bed was good and comfortable.

The Mercure hotel is a short walk from Blois’ historical town centre, with a lovely view from the restaurant over the Loire river. Excellent local wines in the bar, delicious food and very friendly and professional staff throughout the hotel.

Having stayed at this hotel last year we knew what to expect. The hotel is wonderful. Faciliites, especially the pool area are excellent. Blois is a lovely town and the hotel is very well placed to exploit the location.

Trip to Loire valley

Central location and hotel was up to standard. Staff were very helpful and our meals were really nice. One objection I have is eating in a restaurant and dogs allowed in when I am eating. I am sure this is not allowed in the EU. On 2 occasions, breakfast and dinner there were dogs in the restaurant. I would welcome your comments on this.

Nice Hotel - Shame about the View

Booked a Loire View room - which sounded nice - but in practice is a waste of time/money. The view is blocked by a row of dense foliage trees right outside the hotel. The hotel is in a great location - just 5mins walk to the centre of Blois old-town. The hotel and rooms in general are much more modern than the standard Mercure 'Plum' furnishings. Leisure facilities were good - but they had a strange rule about no long swim shorts.

Our second stay at this hotel didn't disappoint. Our room, facing the Loire River was comfortable and had plenty of room, particularly the bathroom, where extra space is always needed. We led a small group and our check-in/out was seamless and professional. There is quite a good choice at the breakfast buffet. Our group dined one night in the restaurant and the service was professional and the menu selection very good. Our favourite spot was the bar after a hard day of touring. The only complaint being the the selection of beers was very small and at one stage ran out of bottled beer, not good for a thirsty group. Also, the bar staff were not particularly welcoming or engaging. However, overall a very pleasant stay.

Very nice hotel inside with reasonable proximity to town centre. Impressive reception and bar setting with nice restaurant/Breakfast setting. Good sized and equipped room and bathroom. Bed poor, understand the need for mattress protection but ours wasn't 'breathable ' so it was like sleeping on plastic. Not nice at all. Brilliant breakfast and good dinner in the restaurant one night, better than restaurants in town and good value. Free public parking very near by but shame hotel charges for theirs.

On arrival we received a very warm reception , the hotel services were advised and lical information provided. Our room was clean, very comfortable and had all the usual amenities. The hotel bar was a very pleasant place to relax with friends , comfortable furniture and professional staff. We dined at the restaurant , service and quality both excellent.
