Rushed out before checkout time. Checkout time was meant to be 6pm for staying during the day. At 5:20pm, banging on the day saying that I’m 20mins late for checkout demands to ‘get out now!’. Definitely not staying there again, very aggressive.

We only stayed for a few hours waiting for a ferry but it was enjoyable. The room was small but well designed and maintained. It’s dog friendly with a nice lounge and friendly staff so we will return and spend some time in Portsmouth

Second time we have stayed here, we needed to be close to HMS Nelson which is about a 10 minute walk away. This hotel is also 5 minutes from the train station and main shops in the town and 10 minutes walk to Gunwarf shopping centre. The facilities are excellent, compact rooms but everything you need, comfy beds and lots of choice at breakfast time to please everyone. Would not hesitate to book this Hotel again.
