Rooms were bad. Smell of damp in both rooms. Bathroom window didn't close, so had to use a towel to create a seal to stop the cold air blowing in. Toilet flushed only occasionally. Bed sagged badly in the middle.

We stayed two nights with breakfast. The welcome by reception was pleasant and efficient, the room was clean and comfortable albeit on the small side and the ensuite was tiny, and the breakfast was adequate and fairly standard.

A little too expensive for the room, breakfast offerings satisfactory, with the exception of the fruit salad. A microwave or method to warm croissants would have been useful.

Only 5 minutes walk from Portsmouth & Southsea railway station, 10 minutes from hovercraft terminal, 15 minutes from Gosport & Isle of Wight ferries and HMS Victory etc in the dockyard. Close to Southsea & Old Portsmouth (Spice Island & Hotwalls). Clean & tidy rooms, but wc too small (personal hygeine is a 'headbanging challenge'). I've stayed several times but I still cannot get an Ibis TV to function effectively. Pleasant efficient staff. Decent breakfast.

Located close to train station and 20min walk from all major sites! Only issue is the paperthin walls and neighbours playing music until after midnight on Saturday night then having to listen to other side on phone early sunday morning
