HOTEL PARTIALLY UNDERGOING RENOVATIONS UNTIL END OF SEPTEMBER 2026. We will make sure you will enjoy your stay in the beautiful city centre of Antwerp, close to all picturesque highlights. Our new rooms have everything you want after a long day of exploring local Antwerp, and also offers a bathroom with shower, TV, free WiFi and of course our cosy SweetBeds. On top of that, the hotel is air-conditioned and 100 percent non-smoking.

As soon as you walk out our front door, you're surrounded by Antwerp's history. Stroll around and enjoy the age-old facades on narrow streets and the imposing Grand-Place. Other highlights, museums and restaurants are reachable by foot as well. We would definitely recommend you to visit the Antwerp Zoo (founded in 1843!), the Royal Museum of Fine Arts or the chocolate museum. If you have questions or need more recommendations, our team will be excited to tell you all about this wonderful city.

ibis Antwerpen Centrum is located right in the city centre. Several bus and tram stations are to be found nearby and Antwerp's central train station is within walking distance. The E19 highway is easily reached by car.

Located in the historical and cultural heart of Antwerp, ibis Antwerpen Centrum is just around the corner of some major theatres like Stadsschouwburg, Arenberg and Elckerlyc. Visiting Antwerp equals combining culture, gastronomy and shopping.

We regularly stay here when travelling to Antwerp and have done since 2013. The hotel is currently going through a major renovation, one side of the hotel is almost complete, the other side is in progress. On the ground floor some sensible alterations have been made: enlarging the breakfast area; moving the meeting room; moving the bar so now next to the reception desk which is far more beneficial for the staff especially at times of short-staffing. As for the room we were in, the upgrade is more like a downgrade and has moved towards the Ibis Styles look. It has been a wasted opportunity to slightly expand the bathroom which has always been extremely tight for space. A larger-built guest will not fit, especially in the shower cubicle. Since valuable storage space has been removed, there was ample opportunity to increase the floor plan of the bathroom. The original wooden storage space which housed open shelves on one side and wardrobe space on the other as well as the TV is much missed as we were left with no alternative but to live out of the suitcases. The newer furniture of an open table, shelves and a chair is more like what you'd get in Ibis Styles, the triumph of style over content, so pretty useless. A low level soft seat has also been removed. The loss of the main light switch by the bed next to the bed lights is incomprehensible. Yes, there is now a USB port to assist with charging, but it is an extremely slow charge so use the main power plug sockets plugs instead, The new TV comes with the most minimal remote i.e. it needs instructions. These could have been added on the QR code to scan on the bedroom door giving all sorts of details about the hotel services. The bench below it contains a seat, pointless as you'd hit your head on the TV above. The one and only major plus is the new aircon unit which runs cooler and is more powerful than the previous one in the rooms. Overall, the new room design has not been carried out by someone who has stayed in one of the rooms and would understand what the requirements are. The designers obviously think that the Ibis Styles look is better for some inexplicable reason. I'd never stay in another one again. The lack of storage space is now extremely frustrating as well as incomprehensible. What a wasted opportunity overall and a terrible renovation. We'll probably stay again if only for it being one of the best located hotels in central Antwerp with great staff.
