Our hotel is ideally located in the historical centre of Sint Niklaas. The Roman De Vidts Park is very near the hotel. Or visit the market square, which is surrounded by the City Hall and the Parish House. Also admire St Nicholas' Church and the Church of Our Lady. Waasland Shopping Center, Belgium's largest shopping mall, is located on the outskirts of the city.

Our hotel is conveniently located right in the historic city centre. Sint-Niklaas' train station is only 10 minutes away on foot and several bus stations surround the hotel. You can join the A14/E17 highway within minutes.

Hotel location & room was good. Breakfast was also very good. I booked a double and twin room but was given two double rooms. I immediately returned to the reception to tell them of the mistake and the response was if you've used the room I can't swap it. Unfortunately because we had been on a cycling holiday my friend had jumped in the shower. The member of staff said that we couldn't move room. We noticed it was two single beds pushed together to make a double so was happy to keep the room we just needed the beds, sheets making onto singles but no help from the staff. Sorry but this has put me off using Ibis again. There was no "sorry we made a mistake" or any apology just tough you've used the room.

The smell in the first room was not very pleasant and staff was very receptive to my feedback and gave me another room. In general the facilities can use a bit of polishing/lift up. Breakfast had enough choice, but it was reduced if you come after certain time. Location is very nice. It's also practical that the underground parking is close by, though signs leading to it could be clearer to avoid ending up in a zone that leads to a fine.

From the hotel's perspective, I have nothing bad to say. The price corresponds to the quality. I must highlight the friendly receptionist, who was very pleasant and helpful. What, unfortunately, disappointed us very much was the breakfast. The breakfast offerings were, let's say, slightly below average, but the quality of the facilities was absolutely terrible. I'm talking about the dirty cutlery that was in the drawer, where bread crumbs fell. Sometimes, cutlery was not even available. The coffee/tea cups have the remains of the previous coffee on them. In general, the quality of the breakfast was very low below the IBIS average.
