We've visited Auxerre mant time but this was the first time we'd stayed at the Ibis. We'll definitely be back! Efficient and friendly check-in. Free car parking nearby, though not private which could be a problem at peak times. Great location: just over the river from the town. Great view: we paid a little extra for a river front room with a balcony and looked across to one of the finest cityscapes in France. Small bar (which was actually open!) at reception which was handy for after dinner and pre-bed nightcaps - not easy to find a bar that's open beyond 21:00 in Auxerre. Excellent and reasonably priced breakfast.
