The hotel staff were friendly, and the room was fine. - but the restaurant meal was extremely frugal to say the least, the rump steak measured literally 3 cms x 4 cms , and between 2 to three 3 cms high. It looked like it had been trimmed off the end of a different cut. Ordered medium but arrived well done, served with a spoonful of mixed fried cubed vegetables. My wife’s starter of grilled leeks etc - was served pre prepared straight from the storage fridge , even the plate was cold. Boarding school food was better. The waiting staff seemed to think it was amusing. If we ever stay here again we will bring our own food.

Very very basic accommodation - even for Mercure - and this was a "privilege" room. In desperate need of refurbishment for the 21st Century. Room also had a terrible damp smell and was tiny for even a solo traveller. Disappointing. On the positive side. Good location next to autoroute for a speedy escape and good parking. Breakfast unremarkable. Juices were not fresh and tasted like from a carton as based on concentrate. All staff very friendly. But hotel needs serious financial investment and refurbishment. We stopped here for one night on the way back from a coach holiday to Spain and all I can say is thank God it was only one night. Food was horrible, the room was horrible, the drinks were expensive, nothing felt right about the place. That's all I can say about the place.
