Our modern restaurant "Schlemmerie" is open for lunch and dinner during the week, serving international specialities and regional dishes. On weekends and public holidays it is currently temporarily closed.

Our bar is integrated in the restaurant, the perfect place to relax and talk over a glass of wine or a cold beer. Open daily from 3 pm to midnight.

Our buffet breakfast with regional specialties is served from 6:30am to 10:30am on weekdays and 11am at weekends. Guests can sit out on the terrace in fine weather. On request, we will also be happy to serve you breakfast in your room at no extra charge.

I like to stay at Mercure hotels because they offer reliable, very good service. The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, offering a good base for work trips. Breakfast is good, the room was comfortable and clean.

Train from Mannheim to Paris suddenly terminated at Saarbrucken at 9:30pm. Only info from DB was to join a line of 200 people being served by 2 at their info desk. Got straight on ALL app and booked two rooms then walked the 5 minutes to the Mercure and felt a wave of relaxation when the excellent staff helped me check in quickly. Needed emergency female hygeine products but all pharmacies shut. The female evening manager on the front desk helped out and when we couldn’t find anywhere open in walking distance checked her own bag and found something for us. Regret not noting down her name. Had a very comfortable shower and sleep after some welcome drinks at the bar.

Good location, friendly staff, rooms are simple but comfortable. Only issue was that I requested a late checkout for 13:00 when I checked in, and the front desk lady granted the request. On the day of checkout, housekeeping knocked on the door asking about checking out because neither they nor the front desk staff that day knew anything about the late checkout request.

We reached in the Morning... had already mentioned in the App where they had asked to update the Arrival time .... and we were Not even Expecting to Check in that Early .... we had Shopping plans ... so just wanted to Keep the Bags with them and leave immediately.... But this Lady was sooooo Rude .... I just said ... "We have a Booking today and .... " This old Lady with a complete rude tone interrupted me sayin... " We are Fully Booked so We Cannot check you in till 3 p.m!!!" If she had let me complete my sentence I would have told her "We have a Booking with you ... We need to keep our bags in the holding so we can go Shopping!!!" The First Non- Welcoming Attitude of that 1 lady .... spoilt the whole Experience with Mercure brand. Our 1st ever experience with Mercure .... as there is No Marriott in Saarbruken.... and After bbeing at higher Elite Marriott member ... we were thinking of raising levels in ALL Hotels as Saarbruken Shopping is Going to be regular thing for us and every 2 months we would be spending a Weekend here ... but with her Interaction all the other Kind and Positive Checkin process went for a toss ... as seeing that old lady's face every morning before leaving the Hotel was quiet upsetting .. Only She had a Biased Vibe ... mebbe against our Brown Colour .... but whatever it is don't wanna comeback till she is employed there. Also the Cost and Worth is Far beyond for this Hotel ... First of all they Make you book 2 Rooms forcefully for a 12 year old child ... then the Basic Important Toiletries were Not provided in any Room ... and worst is Cleaning is NOT done Everyday ... and that is Not informed during Check-in ... and when I went to request that Cleaning be done ...at the counter with another lady .... Absolutely trying to avoid the Rude Old Lady.... again interrupted our conversation and asked the Other kind lady to reject the request with an even More Rude Tone ... We pay high charges to get good Experience... Not to be Dominated by a Rude stafff!!!! I wish it was a better experience like Novotel in Amsterdam...the Amazing Experience made us look into takeup the All Membership

On the way back from vacation this was the ideal stop over for one night .Very easy access from highway and great parking with lots of space. we arrived around 9 PM on Sunday and unfortunately the restaurant from the hotel is closed on Sunday It was not easy to find something open

Sunday arrival - Receptionist displaying a don’t care attitude.Told restaurant closed had to ask twice for a town map .. was tired after a long drive from Prague and felt unwelcome ! Bedroom and bathroom un-prepared, unwashed bathroom glass with dentifrice streaked inside, Kleenex dispenser empty had to go the reception to get replacement. Duvet layed on bed at 90 degree to normal .. it looked as if the cleaning staff were untrained or filling in for an absconding staff member!!! Bath towels thrown on radiator rather than layed down. Carpet in the bedroom looked as if it had been a witness to a battle leaving streaks on it .. photos available if you require. An absolute nightmare to experience! VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!!!

Restaurant and bar not working, plenty garbage outside. Only one guy at reception, no one else to keep it a bit clean. We had the VIP package and still they asked to pay for the parking, which we then got "for free" as a compensation that the restaurant was closed. No bathrobes provided. Breakfast was also not good, horrible slurry coffee. It's a four star hotel, upgrade it or make it two star. Not coming back....

We had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend this hotel. The host could have been a little warmer on arrival, they were welcoming, and attentive, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of fresh, tasty food to start the day. The warm welcome, comfortable accommodation, and friendly hospitality made for a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Great hotel location. Rooms had great view overlooking river Saar. We had 2 rooms. Both had some issues. First room the air con was not working and instead heating the room whilst temperature is 30 degrees it also had tissue on the glow between the 2 beds which gave a bad first impression about cleanliness. Second room had a weird smell. The rooms are a bit dated and the carpets stained even on the corridor. Everything was functional though. For 4 stars expect shampoo conditioner and lotion but this wasn’t there. Breakfast was ok albeit very basic and overcooked especially harsh browns. Staff were helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable enough but pillows needs replacing. Overall an ok hotel but could be made great with minor upgrades

Comfortable stay in the room. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast quality is very good. Price is resonable. The room wifi is OK however it could be betterOnly one comment is that I fail to adjust room teperature to be cooler therefore it is quite hot otherwise the window was open.
