Overall, enjoyed our stay. We were aware that bedrooms are small before booking but our room was perfectly comfortable and the view over the river to the cathedral was beautiful. Air conditioning wasn’t great and bathroom would suit a walk in shower rather than bath/shower combo. Appreciated the daily servicing, though. Reception staff were generally agreeable and helpful, our experience of F&B staff a bit more mixed and maybe some extra training might help. We ate in the restaurant on first evening. Appreciate the effort to offer menus with some local imagination but the execution of the dishes didn’t match and the meal was disappointing. At breakfast it would have been perhaps an idea to showcase regional specialties but the range of foods on offer was nevertheless plenty. We quickly realised that best experience is before 9:30 as after that plates and bowls are hard to find and dishes aren’t replenished. I asked for poached egg and was refused. Room was better managed when Katia on duty. Free parking was a welcome bonus but the entry/exit barriers are cumbersome.

The compact size of our Privilege room was partly compensated by it's double aspect affording views of the river and city opposite.The dining room was bland, food and sevice indifferent with no "atmosphere" and car parking fraught. We have stayed in Mercure hotels all over France and this one could do better rather than just rely on the attractions of Albi.

The Mercure Albi Rives du Tarn is a fantastic property. The river view room we were in has probably the best view of any hotel I have ever been in. An INCREDIBLE view of both bridges crossing the Tarn. The staff are lovely and the location is very convenient to the old city.

Our room was very hot. Even with the airco on full the room did not cool down meaning we did not sleep well. The airco is at one end of the hallway in the room but the cold air did not reach to the bed part of the room.Otherwise, stay was pleasant enough and staff were friendly. Thx.

We had a very nice stay, we booked a high floor, it was a bit disappointing because the window for the view is smaller, and we thought a high floor will give a better view. The airco in both rooms was not working a it should. so it was to warm to sleep. But we had a lovely diner in the evening and a good breakfast. (make sure there are no flies on the breakfast, it is a little bit more tasteful. One fly crawled out under the chicken filled. bah. The view from the terrace is great and the city is lovely.

We stayed here for the first night of our wedding anniversary 'road trip' through France & Spain. The hôtel is easy to find with ample free parking and well located within easy reach of local attractions. We had booked a Privilege Room with a wonderful view of the river and the town. The room was reasonably large equipped with all the necessary amenities. Because we had travelled a few hours from our home in France, we decided to eat in the hôtel restaurant, whilst it is not haute cuisine, it was more than acceptable for our needs.

Feeling extra special as we were upgraded to a privilege room on arrival. The room was extremely comfortable, spacious and clean. Excellent helpful and friendly staff. Although the restaurant was unavailable, small plates served in the bar which were fine. Car park available, with only a short walk into the centre. This city is a gem and we will return for a longer visit. Would definitely recommend.
