We stayed before an early morning flight. Both rooms were incredibly hot due to the heatwave, but the air conditioning did nothing. It was either broken or ineffectual. We raised the issue with reception before putting our children to bed and were told "that is just how the air con is". We then called at 12 when we still couldn't sleep to be told that the air con should have cooled the room within 30 mins, there must have been an issue and they would bring fans. We then had to call back 20 mins later as the fans hadn't been delivered and finally got them 5-10 mins later. We got around 4 hours sleep max before a city break with two young children. A complete waste of money.

Bar and reception area are very nice as was our room Very poor sound proofing to the main corridor and the shower needs to be resealed, large areas of it have turned black, not a good look

Nice hotel; great - and very helpful - staff; room and bed all good; my room had an adjoining room and the noise leaked through (not good); the pillows were very uncomfortable giving little neck support.
