Very good experience but the timing of the free breakfast buffet was miscommunicated when I was checking in late on a Friday evening. I was told it ended at 11am on Saturday and Sunday and 10:30am on Monday and weekdays. Luckily I arrived before 10am on Monday but was told by the waitress that the buffet was ending. I was able to take up food but the waitress indicated that this wasn't the first time the check in clerk had miscommunicated. Please correct and re-train as necessary.

The best part of our recent trip to Montreal was our stay at Novotel!!! Our flights were delayed numerous times, then cancelled, and we ended up having no luggage for most of the trip. We lost 2 of our 3 nights stay in Montreal. Although our hotel room was prepaid and could not be refunded the hotel staff did everything they could to make our experience a good one. They credited the value of one of our missed nights to our room for use at the hotel restaurant and bar (which had fantastic food and service), allowed us to check in very early on the day we finally arrived, and allowed us to check out late the next day when we were scheduled to leave. The friendly and accommodating staff of your hotel saved our trip from being a disaster and we are VERY grateful for this kindness and service. We will return to your hotel the next time we come to Montreal and will recommend it to everyone we know who is travelling to your city! Thank you so much!!!!

I thought the room was clean and modern, especially the bathroom. Although I didn't use them (I had a very short stay), I appreciated that there was a kettle and a full-sized hair dryer in the room. The room service was great and the meal was hot and delicious. The hotel was very quiet and I found the bed quite comfortable.

One of the beds in our room had a bunch of hair in it,gross!Someone forgot to clean this!we had to have someone change the sheets when we noticed it at 10… at night,you didn’t offer any rebate or free night stay,too bad cause I may look elsewhere this year

I've stayed here several times. In general, I'm very pleased with the hotel. The front desk staff are excellent, the rooms are clean, and the bed is comfortable (the pillows aren't too thick, which is a common problem in hotels for those of us who like thinner pillows). I have only two gripes: - I like to use moisturizer on my face after I shave so it doesn't feel dry in the Montreal winter. Almost every hotel provides it, Novotel doesn't. I can bring my own, but usually don't because almost every other hotel provides it. - The shower has a completely opaque interface. How do I get water to come out of the overhead rose rather than the handheld showerhead? Turns out you turn the faucet handle the other way, but I only realize this when I've finished showering uncomfortably under the handheld spout and try to turn the water off, only to have a brief douse of cold water from the overhead rose. Maybe I will remember this on the next visit, but it's gotten me every time to date.

Hotel is good but lacks flexibility to meet individual customer needs. I stayed 14 nights and asked for different breakfast from the kitchen but my request was not accommodated. Who eats the same food for 14 nights? No refund on the breakfast. I wont recommend it for long stay

It's always nice to stay in downtown Montreal, the hotel is convenient and overall very nice. However there are a number of areas that could use improvement. I wish I had noticed before hand but the shower in the room we stayed in is falling apart (529) There is a gap in the shower which probably causing some serious water damage to the rest of the building. Parking was suppose to be 30$ but looking at my CC they charged me 50, disappointing I have to chase them now to get this corrected. For the price I'm not sure I will stay here again.

The parking is 30$ a night for our guest however I do not see any parking charge on your room, did you pay directly in the garage? The 50$ you are referring to is an authorization on your card and not a payment. We automatically release it upon check out but sometimes it takes a few days to show on your credit card. The bed was fine, the room was fine except for the following: 1) The room stunk badly of febreeze or some sort of air spray or cleaner when I first arrived. I had to open the window to air it out as it was nauseating. 2) The shower water was hot the first morning of my stay, but cool, almost too cool the two subsequent mornings. I assume you must have run out of hot water? 2) Room was mostly clean... someone left their hat on a previous stay which was still in the room when I arrived. I always find carpets nasty... you should consider laminate flooring. 3) NO COFFEE... this was a biggie for me. I don't like to boil water in a plastic kettle and I especially didn't like the packages of instant coffee - which I didn't use. 4) there was a fridge, but it was locked up and only for hotel drink purchases.... would have been nice to have the fridge for my leftovers from dinner. As it was, I used the open window as my fridge. It wasn't the best experience, but it wasn't the worst either. Not sure that I would purposefully book a stay there again.
