It was disappointing that no effort was made to address the issues and this resulted in me having to throw away groceries that I had bought.

We received a very warm and personal welcome from Jordan, the Front of House Manager at reception. It is always such a treat to walk into a hotel knowing that you are going to be well looked after. We certainly were. Thankfully Jordan had let us know in advance of arrival that the Ipswich Marathon was being run this weekend which would impact on our ability to get our car out of the car park on Sunday morning. This meant that we needed to ensure we arrived a little earlier than normal so that we could unpack our cases before going off to see relatives. Quite often with hotels arriving early to check in is not met with a positive response. However, it was readily accepted by Jordan and he gave us thorough details of the Marathon impact and we were able to stay a little later on Sunday and easily leave the hotel without being impacted. The bar and restaurant staff are also very welcoming and go out of their way to ensure we are looked after and served quickly and efficiently. We found the Novotel rooms to be very comfortable and well and adequately furnished and enjoyed a good nights sleep. The housekeeping staff are always so cheerful and appear to be very 'on the ball' with cleanliness and maintenance. Altogether, another excellent stay in Novotel Ipswich which is so handy not only for attending the premier league football matches at Portman Road but also as a base for visiting the beautiful surrounding Suffolk villages and coastal resorts such as Southwold & Felixstowe.
