This hotel is located on the back side of Hbf, while the sketchy area is on the front side of Hbf. Hotel is quiet at night, well-designed room, comfortable bed, friendly staff.

We stayed at the Ibis prior to starting a river cruise. We had luggage, so the location of the hotel in relation to the railway station made it an easy choice. Basically a five-minute walk across the street. No issue with the walking surface, so wheeled bags were easy to manoeuvre. Room was adequate for a two-night stay. Clean, with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent, fresh, lots of choice, and continually stocked by the pleasant ladies working that area. I especially liked the variety of hot beverages available from the ‘Franke’ dispenser. The staff knew the area well and were able to point us to two excellent restaurants within a five-minute walk. Special thanks to Steve at the reception desk for his pleasant manner and checking us in so quickly. He was also available to answer question about the area. I should add it is only a five-minute cab ride to the docks (10€) so, once again, a great location.

Good Location but...

...staff very gentle, breakfast ok, room condition pitful. I was asking a couple of the time to check the drain of the shower and the sink without any interest. I had to make the shower everyday with the feet immerged into a 15 cm of waste wafer. Terrible experience for a Hotel where the price for a single room is over 100 Euro.
