I found the experience to be in line with many other reviews. The location is definitely a strong point and works well for a business trip, with good connections across London. The overall comfort leaves room for improvement. The room is basic but acceptable, though the bathroom is a plastic pod-style unit which feels quite cheap. Sound insulation is poor, you can clearly hear pipes and other guests using showers or flushing toilets it kept me awake. There was also a slight drain smell in the bathroom, and the room became uncomfortably warm during the night. Breakfast was below expectations, lacking both flavor and quality. Additionally, I didn’t feel entirely comfortable walking from Waterloo Station to the hotel late in the evening, which may be worth considering for late arrivals. Overall, a practical option if location is your priority, but improvements in comfort and quality would make a big difference.

The rooms are not very well noise insulated. Whenever someone in the top floor showered or flushef the toilet it wa heard very clearly in the room. When we arrived the usb ports also did not work and reception said that this will be fixed shortly. We came back a few hours later and the issue still had not been fixed. After mentioning it this time the issue was solved by maintenace. The rooms seemed to also be a little banged up.

Stayed with you as part of my run up to the London Landmarks Half Marathon. The hotel and staff were fantastic and managed to get our whole party on the same floor. Staff wished me good luck when I left for the race and the food was excellent when we got back.

Whenever possible, I choose to stay at Accor hotels, but this time my stay was just okay. There was hair on the bathroom door as if it hadn't been cleaned. The acoustics were terrible; I could always hear when my neighbor used the bathroom and showered, it sounded like it was in my room. Not to mention the plumbing, which made a noise in my room whenever another room used it. I tried to use the Chromecast on my last morning and it didn't work, just like the television. This time I was very disappointed.

We had a fantastic stay at ibis london blackfriars and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. A special thank you to Derly, who truly made our stay exceptional. We were pleasantly surprised to be given a room on the top floor, which offered stunning views across London — it really made our stay feel special. What truly stood out were the thoughtful touches. We received dessert vouchers and even balloons, which was such a lovely and unexpected gesture. It showed a genuine level of care and attention to detail that you don’t always find. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was relaxed yet professional. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London and will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you again to Derly and the wonderful team for making our stay so memorable!
