For a 5-star hotel, I was surprised that I had to check in & program my own key card. My consumables in the room were not topped up & the bath mat wasn't replaced on my last day. It was difficult to get help at nights as the lobby staff strength was down to 2 persons.

I’ve stayed a numerous Sofitel hotels around the world and have never been disappointed in the service until this stay. My partner and I travelled to Sydney to celebrate our recent engagement I booked the hotel under my Accor membership and called to add my fiancée to the booking so he could check in early as I was arriving late due to work. The staff I phoned although confirming his name misspelled it and despite my fiancée providing evidence of our relationship they made him wait 2 hours before I arrived to check in. The rooms are small and noisy and very dated despite the refurbishment. We asked for an ice bucket and waited close to an hour only to be advised they had run out. The service was very disappointing for a 5 star hotel. The only positive of the trip was the concierge staff, they went above and beyond and were extremely friendly whenever you arrived, departed or needed assistance. 10/10 for the concierge staff.

Stayed at my 4th Accor hotel this year and the Sofitel Wentworth was by far the best. Outstanding service, first offer of an upgrade and what a luxurious treat that was.

I loved the breakfasts, the clean room, and the location. I had difficulty finding space to open the luggage. And the toilet took 3 attempts to fully flush despite the large amount of water.
