I understand that our breakfast service starting at 7:00 AM did not align with your needs and that the room service order you placed at 6:30 AM was incomplete. We felt pampered with our stay - it was a special trip for me with my mother and they arranged a nice amenity for us. Guest Services was kind and appreciated. The breakfast buffet was amazing.

This hotel falls well short of five-star standards. Breakfast was extremely basic, with little variety and poor product quality, more in line with a three-star hotel. On one occasion, breakfast service was apparently limited to a very short time window (30 minutes only for breakfast), and I was refused entry and had to argue with staff to be served, an unacceptable situation for a five-star establishment. The New Year’s Eve dinner ended before midnight, with no celebration, and the food quality was below average. The most serious issue was a public health concern: several guests saw a mouse in the dining room near the fireplace, causing some to leave. This is a severe hygiene issue that should not occur in any hotel. Additionally, the hotel lacks proper decoration and feels unfinished. The corridor carpets are poorly cleaned, the room’s bathroom has very poor drainage and floods within minutes of showering, and overall maintenance is clearly inadequate. Taken together: poor service, low-quality food, cleanliness and maintenance issues, lack of ambiance, and serious hygiene concerns, this hotel operates at no more than a three-star level.

I sincerely regret that your overall experience did not reflect the level of quality, comfort, and refinement you rightly expected from our hotel. Your comments regarding several aspects of your stay including food and beverage, service consistency, cleanliness, maintenance, and the general atmosphere of the property have been carefully reviewed. While I will not address each point individually here, please rest assured that your feedback has been shared with our management team and department heads, as it clearly highlights areas where we must continue to improve. I would, however, like to address more specifically the hygiene concern you raised, as this is a matter we take with the utmost seriousness. The hotel is located in the heart of Brussels and features a peaceful inner garden, which is an appreciated asset for many of our guests. As with any urban property that includes green spaces, external environmental factors may occasionally occur. For this reason, we work under a strict preventive hygiene program and are under contract with a certified pest control company, ECOB, which carries out regular monthly inspections and preventive treatments in full compliance with health and safety regulations. That being said, any reported sighting is treated as an exceptional and serious incident. Following the feedback received, additional inspections and reinforced preventive measures were immediately implemented to ensure the safety, comfort, and peace of mind of our guests. Should you wish to discuss your experience further, please do not hesitate to contact me directly by email (Ad…). I would welcome the opportunity to exchange with you personally and better understand how we may restore your confidence. As a gesture of goodwill, and should you consider returning to Brussels in the future, I would be pleased to personally take care of your reservation. In addition to offering you a complimentary upgrade to a suite, subject to availability, I will also ensure that a fair and preferential rate is applied, so that we may provide you with a stay more in line with your expectations and the level of service we aim to deliver.
