We arrived at 12:40am. Our bag was dropped off at 9am the previous day and we told reception we would be back much later that night. They promised to drop our bag to our room. On arrival to our room, the bag was not there. I was able to summon the duty manager who found my bag. It had been poorly labelled with just first name and surname initial on the tag. I proceeded to carry the bag myself to my room. No offer to deliver it. Later, as I was preparing to go to bed, I realised that the room had no power - the air conditioner wasn't working, fridge was off, could not charge phones and could not have my husband's breathing machine working as this requires power. I rang reception - no answer. I went to reception, no one answered. Rang the number listed on the door, no answer. Rang the hotel directly and left a message (that was never returned) and also rang the 1800 number. Could not leave a message. Granted it was nearly 1:30am in the morning, however, the website gives a number to call anytime - not answered! Totally disappointed with my stay. My husband was a mess as requires breathing machine to sleep and with no air conditioning and no way to open a window - the room was oppressive with the heat. Later that morning, when I explained to reception what happened a few hours before I was told that I would need to send an email as the manager would not be on until the next day. Only after I demanded my money back, and that I would not be leaving until the manager was contacted, did the lady at reception text the manager. Then an apology was forthcoming and a refund. We have stayed many times before when in Sydney and never experienced such a disaster. My biggest concern was that there was nobody there to help if a real emergency was taking place. Not just for myself but other people. What if my husband or someone else was a diabetic and required meds to be refrigerated?? What about another kind of emergency??? Very poor form. It should not matter when a customer arrives, the same due diligence should be applied for 24 hours. I felt totally neglected, unimportant and will be reconsidering where to stay in the future.

Service from the staff was good after returning to the room and finding the AC wasnt working and had to move rooms.

Stayed one night, the price and room quality were sufficient for purpose. I was happy with the room being equipped with a microwave, fridge, and kettle. The interior of the microwave was dirty though, and when I reached under the bed for a dropped bracelet I pulled out an old McDonalds chip, so the cleaning was a bit sub-par. The last time I stayed here was a while ago when the hotel was a Travelodge and that visit there was a used panty liner stuck to the wall behind the bin - so I guess it could have been worse.
