The soundproofing in this hotel is very poor. The parking lot is quite a distance away, which makes it difficult with all this luggage. I’ve been smelling smoke in my room, even though it’s a smoke-free property.

Disappointing experience overall. The room air-conditioning was not functioning properly for both rooms (me and my friend’s room), and despite reporting the issue to the front desk, no technician was sent to inspect it. I was simply told that it would be fine for the night, which unfortunately was not the case. In addition, due to the typhoon, I requested a late check-out until 12:00 PM, but was informed that an additional hour would cost 2,000 yen. As someone working in the hospitality industry, I would have expected more flexibility and a more proactive approach to guest concerns. While issues can happen, the way they are handled makes all the difference.

Due to the typhoon, our flight was cancelled and we have to look for hotel in Naha district immediately. Novotel offered great location close to the airport which made us no need to worry about the potential damages on the road led by the typhoon.

During our stay the main foyer had a very strong smell of diesel for some reason. It was very unpleasant every time we'd return or go down to explore the city. The pool is fantastic. Although it's not heated, it does get ample sunlight when it's around which warms it up nicely. We probably spent 2-3 hours in the pool from late afternoon until past sunset with no issues. Rooms are clean and tidy. Beds are comfortable so no complaints there. Felt like customer service could definitely improve. We had booked 2-nights with both days including breakfast. Unfortunately one day we weren't able to do the breakfast due to a tour we had. My wife approached the front desk to see if we could either get like a breakfast packed up for us to take away, or to exchange for a dinner voucher. She was told she missed the 6pm cut off time (she went there at 6:30pm), which we felt was a bit rough considering I doubt they'd be actually packing these orders then and there.
