On Nov 29 around 6 PM at check-in, I asked about having a lot of luggage, and the staff simply responded, “There’s a cart over there.” Even though the staff at the entrance clearly saw us getting out of the car with five large suitcases, two small children, and a baby, they made no offer to help—no “Shall I assist you?” or any consideration. The check-in staff just watched as well. This kind of response is unacceptable for a supposedly good/highly rated 4-5 star hotel. On Nov 30, we were planning to go to the beach, so we tried to ask a staff member near the 1st-floor elevator for directions. However, the staff was walking while looking at their phone—no greeting, no “Hello”—they just walked past us. I saw multiple pool/beach staff members in blue uniforms walking around while looking at their phones. During our 5-night stay, on Dec 1, I called the front desk a little after 9:30 AM to request room cleaning, asking for it to be completed by noon because we wanted our baby to nap in the room between 12 and 2 PM. The front desk said, “Understood, we will take care of it by 12.” We went out to the lighthouse and café for two hours, but when we returned, the room had not been cleaned. I called the front desk again, and they did not offer a single word of apology—just, “We’ll send housekeeping now.” When I spoke to the cleaning staff, they said it was a "miscommunication at reception" and again, without any apology. I was very frustrated so I went to the reception desk and explained everything to someone who seemed to be the manager. Only then did we finally hear “We’re sorry” and “We apologise.” Even with being upgraded to a suite, this level of service is unacceptable. On Nov 31 at around 9 PM, when I entered the large public bath, there were children—around elementary to middle school age—swimming in the bath. They were kicking the water loudly and disturbing other guests. On Dec 1, again around 9 PM at the public bath, boys (primary school will be my guess) were placing bath buckets on the water and hitting them with towels, and using sauna mats as floatation devices to play in the bath. I warned them, and they turned out to be guests from Singapore who said they did not know the rules and that there was no staff nearby to ask and no explanation provided. The lack of facility guidance for foreign guests was very noticeable. Dec 1, After cleaning, the baby bed had been moved to the lounge area and left there, even though it had originally been in the bedroom before cleaning. I had enough by then so I called reception and let them know but instead of waiting for someone to come, I moved it back by myself. Overall, for the price of the room, the service was extremely underwhelming and disappointing. I hope the management takes this seriously as I would be advising my friends and family to stay away from this hotel at this stage.

The staff were very friendly, and both the breakfast and dinner were excellent. However, the pool water was quite cold, making it difficult to swim. In the mornings especially, the water wasn’t heated enough, so even on windy and chilly days, it actually felt warmer outside the water. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was that the outdoor pool is available even in November, but it was disappointing that swimming wasn’t really possible on cloudy or windy days

I had a really lovely time here. The front desk woman, Asahi (I'm sorry, I might not remember her name) was so sweet and helpful. She works at the customer service/excursion desk. The accommodations were very nice. The lazy river was relaxing. The slides and Boomerang were very exciting. The public bath was rejuvenating. It was up until the end of our trip that I was dissatisfied. We were not able to use the pool on our Friday check in so I asked the European girl, if we could use the pool on our Sunday check out. She said she could only allow us to use it until 11:00 check out time which upset my daughter and made her cry. I did not want to end our trip this way so we put our bags in the car and I talked to another man at the excursion desk if there was an extension and he said yes, until 3:00 which was perfect. I don't know why the first person could not accommodate us from the beginning. She very much upset the end of our trip. We were happy to have some extra hours relaxing, but she tainted our time there. I recommend more training for her so she does not ruin another's vacation. We spent a lot of money to have a good time.

I had a great experience at this resort last year, so I came back with my family. The resort is still very well maintained, and we enjoyed our stay once again.
