To whom it may concern I was so looking forward to stay at Mercure Zanpa Resort because it was the first time to visit Okinawa and my husband and son’s birthdays are coming next month. Firstly, my son had a tile-cut on his foot in the flowing water pool. He had a scar and blood a lot in the morning on the second day we stayed. We chose your place because it has a huge pool outside but we couldn’t enjoy the place.. The life-guards were surprised and took a picture, so you can check it through them. (I took a picture when the blood stopped). Second, I heard my room was upgraded due to my platinum membership. I know I got a quite big room. However, there was a lack of facilities in the room. I requested a sofa bed or extra bed or a desk under the TV because there were more furniture in the official website but the staff told me to change to the lower floor to get a sofa or pay for the extra bed. The manager came up to my room and checked up my son and the room condition. However, I am so upset that my son and my family were not able to walk around or enjoy Okinawa because of the scar kept bleeding at that time. (Now we are in Korea..) I am quite disappointed and considering to keep my Accor Platinum membership. I don’t know I should keep loyalty for Accor now. I’m looking forward to get any replies from Mercure Zanpa Resort or Accor. Thank you. Sincerely, Miyeon L..

We were pleased to be assigned the same room as last year, and this year we also had Executive Lounge access, which we were looking forward to. Unfortunately, we found the food selection in the Executive Lounge quite disappointing. For an executive lounge, there was very little variety during both afternoon tea and cocktail hour. I noticed that the lounge was consistently busy throughout our stay, so I would have expected the hotel to ensure there was a sufficient selection of food and snacks for all guests to enjoy. In fact, the lounge downstairs offered a wider variety of food in the evening than the Executive Lounge. I had expected the Executive Lounge to provide a broader selection, including some of the items that were available downstairs, to make the experience feel more exclusive and worthwhile. In addition, breakfast was exactly the same every morning throughout our stay. While the quality of the food was good, having the identical menu every day became quite repetitive. We would have appreciated at least a different main dish each morning to provide more variety and make breakfast a more enjoyable experience.
