the room was dusty and there was a lot of hairs in the shower. The room was extremely hot as well.

Diciembre 2025 - Enero 2026. Tres semanas para disfrutar las navidades y año nuevo con mi hija en Barcelona. Debido a la excelente experiencia en el Ibis Santa Coloma en Agosto 2023 decidí una vez mas alojarme en Ibis pero esta vez algo mas cerca del centro. El Ibis Plaza Glòries 22 era la opción perfecta. EL HOTEL: No puede dudarse que es un Ibis. Decoración moderna con hermosos toques industriales (ver el enchapado en las paredes del lobby cerca de los elevadores). Inmaculadamente limpio, modernas y cómodas habitaciones equipadas con lo necesario, agua caliente, cómodas camas. Este Ibis hasta tiene un gimnasio en el primer piso el cual ni siquiera visité (por flojo). Con la temperatura reinante no fué necesario usar la climatización. Tiene dos estaciones de metro cercanas y varias rutas de autobús tambien cerca. El centro comercial Westfield Glòries está a unos minutos caminando. Nada que desear, nada que criticar. Una excelente opción. EL PERSONAL: ¿Que decir del personal que atiende al público? Son muchachas y muchachos jóvenes, dinámicos, siempre con una sonrisa a flor de labios. En la recepción Marcos nos recibió haciendo gala de un gran apego a las reglas, y orientándonos en la habitación que nos habían asignado. Yo pedí del piso 3 hacia arriba y recibí una hermosa habitación en el quinto piso. Paula siempre lista con recomendaciones de lugares donde comer, incluso cuando pregunté donde conseguir navajas me dió una excelente recomendación. Que no la siguiera fue enteramente mi culpa. Alba, siempre con una sonrisa y dispuesta a ayudar pidiendo un taxi, sirviendo un trago si el bar estaba cerrado o entregandome una copia de las llaves de la habitación ya que tengo la mala costumbre de olvidarlas al lado de la cama. Isabella, nombre fácil de recordar para mi, tambien con una excelente energía y una sonrisa a flor de labios. Un placer tratar con ella. Valentina, un derroche de colaboración y dulzura. Seguro hubo mas personas pero no puedo recordar todos los nombres. 
En el bar, Joan y Carlos siempre listos para darme una cubeta de hielo todas las noches (me lesioné un tobillo y eso ayudó inmensamente a mi rápida recuperación) o para intercambiar algunas palabras mientras disfrutaba de mi trago vespertino. Ellos trabajan como barmen, baristas y mesoneros y merecen todo el reconocimiento del mundo. En la cocina Xiomara, la única con quien tuve contacto directo, siempre prepara todo con evidente habilidad y cariño siendo el resultado por supuesto simplemente delicioso. Las camareras, solo pude tratar con Josefina Rodriguez y Nassima (espero haberlo escrito bien). Se ajustaron a la perfección a mis preferencias tomando en cuenta que un par de días preferí quedarme en mi habitación trabajando remotamente. Nunca se perdió nada en la habitación y si quedaba cambio en el escritorio jamás faltó ni un centavo. En fin, como ocurrió en la oportunidad anterior, el Ibis se luce con unas instalaciones super agradables y un staff compuesto por gente muy dinámica, amable, joven y obviamente encantados con prestar su atención al público. El éxito de esta visita a mi hija en la ciudad condal se debe en gran parte al personal de este fantástico hotel. Muchas gracias, y espero regresar pronto. December 2025 - January 2026. Three weeks to enjoy Christmas and New year with my daughter in Barcelona. Due to the excellent experience I had two years ago in another Ibis (Santa Coloma) it was easy to decide on another hotel of the same chain but this time closer to the center. Ibis Plaza Glòries 22 fits the bill to a T. TΗΕ ΗΟΤΕL: You can never doubt you’re on an Ibis. Modern decor with nice industrial touches (check the paneling in the lobby next to the elevators), spotlessly clean modern and comfortable rooms equipped with all you might need. Comfortable beds, TV, hot water, hair dryer, This Ibis even has a gym in the first floor which I didn’t even see being way too lazy. The reigning climate made unnecessary to use air conditioning/heater. There are two metro stations close by and several bus stops. Wetsfield Glòries mall is just a few minutes walking away. Nothing left to wish, nothing to criticize. TΗΕ STAFF What can be said about the staff? This are young men and women, dynamic, always smiling, and eager to please. At check-in we were met by Marcos showing his strict following of rules and explaining us everything about the area and the hotel itself. Great guy. At reservation I asked for a room in the third floor or higher and we were assigned a lovely room in the fifth floor. Paula, always ready to give recommendations on nearby places even when I asked for a place that serve razor clams and she gave me an excellent recommendation. If I didn’t follow it was entirely my fault. Alba, always smiling and willing to help, calling for a taxi, even serving a drink when the bar was not yet open or giving me an extra copy of the card-key since I have the bad manner of forgetting it in the room. Isabella, an easy name for me to remember, also with a beautiful energy, and a beautiful smile parting her mouth. A pleasure dealing with her. Valentina, an hemorrhage of joy, collaboration and sweetness. I’m sure there were others but alas, I can’t remember their names. In the bar, Joan and Carlos were the quintessential barmen. Always willing to hand me a small bucket of ice (I sprained my ankle and this helped a lot with my fast recovery) or ready to share a few words while I enjoyed my evening drink. They work hard as barmen, baristas and waiters and deserve a lot of credit. In the kitchen, Xiomara )the only one I interacted with (always prepare everything with great skill and love for the trade with the obvious result that everything turns pout simply delicious. The maids, I only could speak with Josefina Rodriguez and Nessima (I hope I got it right). They adjusted seamlessly around my schedule and preferences taking into account that a couple of times I chose to stay in my room tele-working. Nothing went missing in the room and if some change was left on the desk there was never a penny missing. In summary, as happened in the previous trip, Ibis shines where it matters. With super nice installations, and a staff filled with excellent professionals always eager to help the public. The success of this visit to my daughter in Barcelona is due mainly to the staff of this fantastic hotel. Thank you very much and I hope to return soon.

¡Qué experiencia tan maravillosa! No tengo palabras para expresar lo agradecida que estoy por la atención y el cariño que recibí durante mi estancia en el Ibis Plaza Glòries 22. Cada detalle, desde la limpieza impecable hasta la calidez del personal, hizo que estas semanas fueran inolvidables. Marcos, Paula, Alba, Isabella, Valentina, Joan, Carlos, Xiomara, Josefina y Nassima… ¡gracias por su sonrisa, su ayuda y por hacerme sentir como en casa! Viajar es mucho más que un lugar bonito: son las personas las que marcan la diferencia, y ustedes lo lograron. Me llevo recuerdos preciosos y el deseo de volver pronto. ❤️

We stayed for 4 days and overall our experience was quite satisfactory, especially considering its category. We knew from the start that it would offer only the basics, and that was indeed the case; however, in several aspects it exceeded our expectations. The hotel is located quite far from the city center — something we knowingly chose. The neighborhood itself was very nice and quiet, which made us feel comfortable. The building was new, well-maintained, and aesthetically pleasing. In the common areas there were several facilities, such as games, a gym, a restaurant, and other amenities that you don’t often find in a 2-star hotel. The breakfast was simple, offering the essentials, but everything was tasty. However, it was exactly the same every day, and it would have been nice to have at least a bit of variety or a few additional options. The biggest drawback was the room. It was quite small for two people, as instead of a standard double room they had turned it into a triple by adding an extra bed. Even though the room was designated as a triple, the amenities provided were only for two guests (towels, water, etc.). When we asked for extra towels, we were only given large ones because small ones were never available. Additionally, the room wasn’t as clean as we expected, with noticeable dust in several areas. As for the staff, everyone was polite and reasonably helpful. Overall, the hotel is a good choice for someone looking for a budget-friendly stay with basic amenities, in a pleasant yet remote neighborhood. With slight improvements in cleanliness, breakfast variety, and room facilities, the experience could be even better.
