We would not stay in the hotel again unless and until we were satisfied that we could get coffee in the morning without having to pay for it. There was no coffee maker in the room, we did not want breakfast (we arrived on a 7 hour time difference and slept late), and we were told we would be charged for coffee if we asked for it downstairs. The absence of free coffee is simply a disqualifier for us.

The hotel was buzzing with the World Cup atmosphere. The check-in experience was excellent. Kudos to Rosen, who handled my check-in. Considering it was my first stay at Novotel, he made me feel welcome and at home. The special surprise on the day of Portugal's match was the cherry on top. The room was great, with all the modern amenities you could need and an amazing view of the mountains. The lifts were quick and efficient. Breakfast offered plenty of options, including a selection of local products. The bar also had a fantastic atmosphere, perfectly set up for the World Cup.
