Well located for Old Town

Feel like the hotel could do with some fairly simple improvements to make it more guest friendly (and to add prestige to match price, to be honest). First - reception. Why? One tiny desk to serve guests. Is it because of cost cutting? Trying to encourage people to check in online? Either way, it feels like hotel guests are getting a ‘budget’ experience here that doesn’t match the price. No issues with the young and friendly staff, they were very helpful and always trying to please. Second - restaurant. I arrived in time for late dinner, found a table but it was really dirty. I don’t care about formal service or fancy decor, but cleanliness is a must. Room - perfectly comfortable, but would expect access to streaming services in a hotel of this level. Pool area and bar - desperately need some love - dark and dated, not conducive to relaxing. Brighten it up and add a bit of greenery? Overall, pleasant stay but feel with a few small touches this hotel could be brilliant given its location.

The hotel looks amazing from the outside. We liked the location very much, you can easily walk to the Fatahillah Square. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast was not the best. Croissants were not tasty, the tea tasted like coffee and there was not a lot of fruit. That was a bit of a disappointment in a hotel like this, we expected more.

Good Hotel, Bad Banquet Staff

We were there for our sister's wedding day, unfortunately we had several miscommunications with the Banquet Staff (Ms. Bilqis), that she forgot to mention they only have 2 junior suite room on non-smoking floors, whereas we reserved for 3 rooms 1 year prior to the wedding day. It was quite a fiasco during the day and some other miscommunications happening along our 2 night stay. The hotel rooms in the end was good for us, as we have a junior suite room. But my parents and my elder siblings had to downgrade their rooms as we couldn't stay in a smoking floor. A heads up would actually be good.
