This was a lovely hotel, very clean, spacious, felt very New. Reception staff were all very nice, and very helpful particulaely in relation to transport links etc, which was extremely helpful to us given that it was our first time in Italy and with my being a wheelchair user we would have found it difficult to find wheelchair accessible vehicles/taxis. The hotel staff were all very nice and couldn't do enough for us. When we first arrived we met an Italian gentleman in reception who was also staying here, and he was disabled too and gave us the number of a wheelchair accessible taxi service he uses, which was great and we also became friends with him, even swapping numbers - but this was the general vibe of the hotel, friendliness. Every morning we'd come down for breakfast and be greeted by the staff which was lovely. Oh, and the breakfast spread was amazing! You could have multiple different Cereals, scrambled Eggs and Bacon, cold Meats and Cheese, Multiple choices of fruit, already cut up, roughly 5 or 6 different types of Bread and croissants, a very generous sized jar of Nutella to drizzle over your croissants, approx 8 different types of Cakes, fresh Homemade Cakes (that were so tasty!) It was All You Can Eat too, plus they had copious amounts of Tea, Coffee, Hot chocolate, Espresso and a Fruit Juice machine which had the most delicious Pineapple Juice! The room was clean and bright, had nice big windows, but most importantly a working Air Conditioning Unit (we went in August!) We had plenty of space in our room so I could get around in my wheelchair despite not booking a Disabled/Accessible room, so that was a welcome relief. We had Shampoo/Bodywash included, which I presume is normal for Ibis Hotels? We haven't stayed with Ibis Hotels before. Maid service was excellent, came in to clean and leave fresh towels every day. Downstairs they had a Restaurant, which is where we had breakfast, and oh my goodness, the food! Absolutely delicious and consistently amazing every night! We ate here every night, my husband had the Carbonara for 7 nights in a row, it's that great! Everytime we ate here, which was everyday lol for 7 nights, breakfast and Tea, we could tell that all of the food and ingredients were of a very high quality and cooked to perfection - if you stay here, and I highly recommend that you do, but you don't eat at this Hotel Restaurant, you're Nuts! Easily high-end Restaurant quality! As I mentioned, I'm a Wheelchair user and well we didn't realise just how far outside of Rome centre we were, we thought "it's only 9 miles, we'll just get a bus/taxi/train" - Nope, for me it wasn't that easy, we caught the Train from Flumcino Airport which was nice and easy as we'd pre-booked Special Assistance who promptly arrived with a forklift trolley lift to get me on the train, all good....but, we were told by both Jet2 Special Assistance Team and Trenitalia Special Assistance that the station at Muratella, which was closest to our hotel, wouldn't need Special Assistance due to "the platform being raised to meet the train" - but nothing was told to us about the 1 Foot gap between the Train and the Platform which most wheelchairs, with small front wheels, would seriously struggle with. Train conductor and her colleague said "we haven't got a ramp and can't lift you from the Train" so, basically, figure it out yourself and in my instance I'm lucky to have a very strong husband who was able to essentially balance me across the gap and lift me in my wheelchair (I'm 18 stone!) - so, although this bit isn't about the hotel, it's info for disabled/wheelchair travellers who want to stay in this area - Hire a car! The hotel is in a lovely quiet residential area, which is great for sleeping in, and we would DEFINITELY stay here again but we'd hire a car - buses are good in that they come very regularly and the bigger Buses (with 3 sets of double doors) have a fold-out ramp and a space for wheelchairs - but you can't be totally reliant on buses if you want to go places, like Rome Centre, as sometimes they don't turn up which becomes a problem when you're changing multiple buses and one doesn't turn up. Taxi's can be expensive but, again, we were there in August lol! As for local amenities there's a nice smaller supermarket just behind the hotel which, among the usual supermarket items, has a meat counter, fish counter and deli counter which sells delicious Cheeses, Meats and of course Olives! There's a small bar/cafe around the corner from the shop, but we didn't go in as, it appeared to us to be, a "locals" bar/cafe with some people sat outside looking less than welcoming lol - but as I say we didn't go in, so may be judging the place unfairly, maybe.

Kellie R TripAdvisor review

I stayed at the Ibis with an educational tour group of 47 at the end of July, during the hottest part of the summer. The hotel is a ways outside of the city. The common areas of the hotel are nice. There was a good selection of food provided for breakfast. The guest rooms were OK at best. The bathroom was definitely not clean and the AC did not blow cold at all. The cleanliness of the hotel in combination with the distance from the city, I would not recommend to stay.

Avoid this at all costs

The bathroom wasn't clean. The toilet was dirty. There was dirt and hair in the shower when we got there. The WIFI did not work. The staff told us not to run outside because it was not safe. There were stains on the carpet everywhere. Do not stay here. It's awful.
