A nice size room with a comfortable bed

We had a good sized room and a comfortable bed. There was no exterior noise from the street even though we were close to a major road. However, the shower was badly designed and water went all over the floor. I really feel sorry for the staff having to clean the floor in every room. We were placed at the end of the corridor and we could hear people going up and down the stairs all night so that distracted from the pleasantness of the stay. Ask for a room away from the light and stairs. After a lot of expensive hotel nights in Switzerland, this was very reasonably priced.

The hotel staff was nice but when we arrived our room wasn't ready yet and we had to wait for the cleaning crew to finish the room. I came back after 45 minutes and I asked the front desk lady about our room and she said it wasn't ready because the maintaince ladies taking a break now. I understand they have to have a break but I had two younger kids with me and it would have been nice to have our room ready. Also, maybe would be a nice add on experience if the hotel guest would get a daily transportation tickets to go to Zurich downtown. That would have been a nice touch.

Dear Zsofia Thank you for being our guest and for your feedback. We are pleased that you appreciated the friendliness at the reception. We can understand that when traveling with children you would like to get into your room as soon as possible, which we are happy to do if there are already rooms available. Our official check-in time is from 3 pm and as we were fully booked the day before and check-out time is until 12.00 noon, we were unfortunately not ready before then. Both rooms were checked in at 2.50 pm and you received a free upgrade to our superior rooms. The staff were already on break when you arrived shortly after 2pm and then we only get someone out of break in an emergency. Because the entire housekeeping team does a great job that involves physical exertion and that's why they need the breaks and they are absolutely deserved. The reason why we can't offer tickets for public transport is that there is no agreement with public transport in Zurich that allows hotel guests to travel for free, as is sometimes the case in other cantons in Switzerland. We also have to buy the tickets at the regular price from the Zurich Transport Association and sell them on at the same price. This is a service so that none of our guests have to bother with buying tickets from a ticket machine. I hope this explains why you had to buy the tickets from us, as in any other hotel in Zurich. Hotel Restaurant, for dinner is excellent, fast check in, fair room , easy parking area, breakfast from my point of view, too expensive

Dear Jose C. Thank you for staying with us and for your positive review. We are pleased that you had a good time with us and that you were able to enjoy our restaurant at the same time. We can understand that for our guests from abroad a breakfast price of 19.- seems high, but it corresponds to the normal average price in hotels in Switzerland. In return we serve almost exclusively Swiss products, homemade jam and the eggs to cook yourself come directly from the farm in the neighboring community. From early summer we also have honey from our bees from the forest directly behind the hotel. Maybe that helps a little to understand the price. The experience was much worse than expected. Rooms were very clumbzy, there is no space for walking around the bed. You just need to sleep once you enter into the room. Toilet and bathroom was like 'living in a capsule'. And , if you turn on the lights of the bathroom then there are lots of noise from the exhaust. No locker for bathroom doors so you need to be careful of your privacy if you are on a trip with a group. Breakfast is very very worst. No much options, you just need to live with several options of bread. Nothing more than that. It was same for 3 days trip. Just imagine!

Dear Jagadis S. Thank you for being our guest and for your feedback. We are sorry that you were not satisfied with your stay and apologize for this. We can understand that our rooms are tight with an extra bed in them and you don't have as much space. All our rooms have en-suite bathrooms and although you can't lock them with a key, each bathroom has a door that you can close to have privacy in the bathroom. We have a lot of group trips with us and never had a problem with this. It is planned that the rooms on the third floor will also be renovated next year and then the ventilation should also be quieter. What we do not understand and agree with is that our breakfast has no choice apart from a selection of bread. You will find the following products on our buffet: yogurts, Bircher muesli, fresh fruit, two types of cheese on the platter, such as Babybel and cream cheese, tomatoes and cucumbers, ham, turkey breast, salami and cold cuts. Four different types of muesli, homemade jam, Swiss honey and eggs to cook yourself from the farm in the neighboring village. Of course, coffee and tea, as well as orange and multivitamin juice and free water are included in our breakfast, as well as a selection of different rolls, breads and croissants. There should be something for everyone. If our guests would like vegan breakfast options, we will be happy to organize this if we know before arrival or at the latest at check-in. We are always open to feedback during the stay so that we can find a solution directly on site to improve our guests' stay.
