Hotel is ok although a bit overpriced (it's common for Milan). It should be revamped - you know quite well the rooms are outdated - most likely from the late 90s.

The hotel was not clean, it is old hotel, the staffs at the bar are rude i would say. The shower was leaky, the fridge was broken, then what do you expect from a hotel specially when you pay more than 200 euro per night. I have been in other Novotel hotels, but this was really terrible. The window could not be closed completely and there was a cold wind coming to the room at the night. The door could not be closed properly and you should really pull the door to close it.

Checking in was smooth. Honestly, the night shift people at the front desk are much nicer. I remembered checking in twice, (19th night and 26th night?), a young man and lady with glasses. They were sweet, friendly and really kind and respectful. I like that a lot. They deserved recognition for that. Prior to checking in, I was really afraid because there were so many bad reviews on google. But your staffs such as Manuela reassured me that the stay and room will be pleasant. I was not disappointed and super glad that it was nothing bad as per the review. Understandably, the hotel is old so there were like not working hairdryers, tv remote was having issues, stains on tiling and metal tarnish on your taps and shower head. But I think your towels needs to be cleaner, I noticed old blood stains in some towels that were being refreshed. It was not pleasing. The hotel aircon seems to be working intermittently but I was not entirely bothered by it. However, as per previous comments, understand it is an old hotel, so I could live with it. But hygiene wise on the towels can be improved. Not working hairdryers was quickly solved when i called the front desk for replacement. Right, your phone should indicate which buttons are for front desk, I had to guess the 0 for front desk. For staying about 10 nights in total, the breakfast was not entirely impressive. I wished there could be some changes in the food offering. I could tell the scrambled eggs were re-served for breakfast, like it was perfectly cooked on day 1, then progresses to be fully cooked by day 3. But all your service staffs at the floor was friendly, I preferred the darker skins service staffs, they were much friendlier and much approachable. They deserved to be recognized for their service. We had drinks at night during your hotel stay too. Your service staff was extremely on point. Super pleased with the service. Overall, despite all the negatives points, I enjoyed the stay pretty much that's because of all the service staffs are being respectful, sweet and really polite. The hospitality given by your facility was awesome despite all the negative reviews online. I believe that your colleagues should all be applauded for it. Super huge plus for this.

Hotel was very clean, air conditioning was good, reception was friendly and efficient and bed was comfortable although the pillows were more like cushions. The breakfast was very good with plenty of options. Hotel is close to transport options with the old trolleys a good tourist experience to the centre of Milan. There are a few restaurants and pizzerias near by with Chi Chi pizzeria especially good .
