Although the rooms were clean and reception staff helpful. The ibis experience was let down by the worst breakfast I’ve ever had in any budget hotels. No vegan or vegetarian options. My husband asked if they could cook him poached eggs. The waitress went to find out but was told no. Only cheap sliced bread, no fruit available or salad . The cost of breakfast £10 per person definitely not worth it.

although location was great and bed was comfortable, could of done with an extra pillow and there was only 2 tea bags in room each time it was cleaned so had to go downstairs to ask for more to which you could help your self to. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

food cold had to repeatedly ask for things like ham butter milk beans fruit juice

I had such a lovely stay at Ibis Styles Paignton for my birthday and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the moment I arrived, everything felt welcoming and comfortable. The location is fantastic, right by the seafront, which made it perfect for enjoying the beautiful views and getting out and about. The breakfast was absolutely yummy too — a great way to start each morning! I also really enjoyed using the gym facilities during my stay. It was great to have such a good facility available, especially while away for a birthday break. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would happily come back again. A beautiful location, great facilities, lovely atmosphere and a memorable birthday stay. 10/10 from me — highly recommended! 🎂🌊✨

Check in was straightforward but charges for parking were unexpected, totalling £105 for the week. Housekeeping was shoddy, I left a note to say the washbasin soap dispenser bottle was empty but it was not replaced, I then told a member of housekeeping that happened to be working in a nearby room, but it was still not replaced so I had to ask at reception for soap. Reception sent the barkeeper with a bottle of soap to the room and I had to change the bottle in the holder myself. I also had to ask at reception for a replacement toilet roll, and twice we had to ask for ladies sanitary bags as there were not replenished when used. Our friends had to ask several times to have their room safe unlocked as the previous guest had left it locked and our friends could not use it until it was unlocked. The neighbouring Mercure hotel offered a discount on food and drinks to guests staying at the Ibis Styles, but no one at the Ibis Styles told us about the available discount. There were no local maps available for guests to take away, and no leaflets about local attractions. One good aspect was our friends were allowed to take a mobility scooter to their accessible room.

Our only issue was with the room being cold in the evening, I mentioned this to a member of staff at reception, I was told that the heating would be turned up for our room individually but I don't believed this happened as the nights were quite cold making it hard to get comfortable. It would be nice if guests could control the heating as they require.

We should have checked the controls and, if there was a fault, taken the appropriate action to ensure you were comfortable. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I should have complained at the time but hadn't realised it wouldn't disperse and it would linger and get worse overnight made a formal complaint but yet to hear back. Have been assured that it won't happen again let's hope not.

The room was very clean and bathroom had the complimentary products that were lovely breakfast very civilised not overly busy Not too keen on the coffee but maybe that is down to personal taste Staff friendly and professional We asked for an extra pillow and arrived to our room very quickly
