Its extremely well located being directly opposite the Sea Front and the town just a very short stroll around the corner with access to shops, pubs and clubs. We had originally booked in to the Ibis next door but we were transferred to the sister hotel, Mercure. One of the rooms booked, a twin room for two friends, was a double room. The reception were very helpful but only had a double with a sofa bed which turned out to not be comfortable for a grown man. Its not what we booked and detracted from the stay sadly. My own room was a double but the aircon was exceptionaly noisy (gurgling water) so I had to turn it off. Its a nice enough looking hotel and well located but the rooms provided were disappointing. I have another room booked for March back at the Ibis so hopefully that will go better. The reception were very helpful.

Being reassigned from a twin room to a double with a sofa bed is understandably disappointing, especially when it does not match what was originally booked. Only one critisicm....cleaners bang our door at 10.35 telling us we have to get out and leave when the deadlinenis 11am Very unprofessional
