Loved the hotel and how welcoming this hotel was towards dogs. The room was very clean and spacious and sitting in the bar area was very relaxing. However, the actual place of Paignton wasn't up to much really as a lot of work being done on the seafront and very little in the way of good food around except tacky take aways and even more tacky gift shops.

Overall our stay was ok, £15 per night to park the car we felt was over the top as we had already paid over £300 to stay for 3 nights. We booked a superior twin with seaview and were expecting a room with full length windows not a half window, room description needs modifying. Housekeeping need to be instructed on how to make a bed as i had to completely strip the bed and remake it the sheet was on skewed and the undersheet was not even on the mattress in one corner so making the bottom sheet very ruffled. Did not bother to report as once done to my satisfaction it was ok. Hoping that my comments are heeded, i worked in tour operation for years and am well aware of expected standards.

We are pleased to hear that, overall, your stay was satisfactory. However, we are sorry to learn that certain aspects of your experience did not meet your expectations. Regarding the parking charges, we appreciate that £15 per night may have felt expensive in addition to the cost of your accommodation. We would like to clarify that our parking tariffs are clearly displayed at the property and across our booking platforms, allowing guests to review these charges when making their reservation. With regard to your Superior Twin Sea View room, we appreciate your comments concerning the window size and understand that you expected full-length windows based on the room description. We will review the wording and imagery used in our room descriptions to ensure that the information provided accurately reflects the accommodation and helps guests make informed booking decisions. We are particularly disappointed to hear about the standard of bed-making in your room. Cleanliness and presentation are important aspects of the guest experience, and we apologise that the bed was not prepared to the standard you rightly expected. Your comments will be shared with our housekeeping team to reinforce the importance of ensuring that beds are properly made and rooms are presented to an appropriate standard. Despite booking superior rooms, the one with the cot in didn't have a cot mattress only a soft duvet folded in half with a loose sheet over. My daughter then had a sleepless night worrying about the baby suffocating. She also had body lotion in her shower instead of body wash. Both of these were rectified on the second day. However, upon asking for an extra bottle of water on day 3 (our stay was 5 nights) I was told in no uncertain terms, infact quite rudely, that this was only provided as complementary on the first night and I was welcome to buy it at the bar. This struck me as rather petty as we were staying for several nights. Also in the fridge was Pepsi which we don't like and so never used. Should we also have been petty and taken it away with us ? I have never had this problem in any other place I have stayed and water is usually replenished every day. Do you get 1 lot of complimentary drinks if you stay only 1 night or several ?

We understand how important it is for families, particularly those travelling with a baby, to feel comfortable and reassured about the arrangements provided in their room. We are concerned to hear that the cot was supplied without a proper cot mattress and that a folded duvet was used instead. We fully appreciate the anxiety this caused your daughter and recognise the importance of ensuring that appropriate, safe sleeping arrangements are provided for our youngest guests. We also apologise that body lotion was provided in place of body wash in the shower. Although we understand that this was rectified on the second day, we acknowledge that these details should be checked and addressed promptly to ensure a comfortable stay. Regarding your comments about complimentary bottled water, we are sorry that the response you received from our team member came across as discourteous. Regardless of our refreshment policy, our guests should always be treated with courtesy and professionalism. Complimentary items provided on arrival may be subject to the hotel's specific policy and are not necessarily replenished daily. We appreciate, however, that expectations can differ, particularly during a longer stay, and that clear communication is important. We will review your comments regarding the provision of bottled water and the refreshments supplied in your room to ensure our arrangements are communicated appropriately. All staff were very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast choices, excellent. Evening meals, limited menu. Main disappointment was that the room could not be cooled lower than 19 degrees with no windows to open. We found that was too warm to sleep in.

Room good, breakfast good, room service food was an awful experience. Curry delivered cold, panini cold and soggy.
