The accommodation was comfortable and conveniently located however the house keeping was disappointing. There was a mix in with the accommodation as it was booked in November 2025 and with the change of ownership this booking was not carried over. Fortunately they were still able to accommodate my booking.

Have stayed at the Greet formally Diplomat since 2016. One night a mice came to visit me in my room, got it out though it with the help of the lad on the night desk, suggested to the lad about putting baits down, he stated its the wet season, though it isn't a good look for the motel as the mice returned the next two days trying to get my room again. Last day a aboriginal woman entered my room (as the fly screen door didn't lock) trying to sell me an painting. Bed linen wasn't changed the in the 10 days that of our stay, no bin liners provided as guest where left to empty their own bins, nothing to sweep the floors with.

Overall a good experience at greet Hotel Alice Springs. The rooms are basic but relatively comfortable. The rooms are a bit musky smelling, carpets stained and the air conditioners are old and quite noisy. Most of the staff are on holiday working visas and are not overly friendly.

I stayed at Greet Hotel Alice Springs in late September. The reception staff were very friendly, and everything seemed fine at first. Unfortunately, my experience with the hotel’s restaurants was extremely frustrating. At Uncle’s Tavern, I asked whether there was a Gold member discount. The staff member had no idea and had to ask a manager, leaving me waiting at the counter for a long time. I was eventually told that Uncle’s Tavern does not offer a member discount, which I could accept. I was then told that Stumps Cafe offers the member benefit at breakfast. The next morning, I went to Stumps Cafe and presented my Gold card when ordering. Once again, the staff member had no idea about the benefit and had to call a manager. I had already checked the Accor website, which clearly lists Stumps Cafe as a participating venue. After the staff's phone call, I was told that only Platinum members get free breakfast. Seriously, I KNOW I’m only a Gold member — I wasn’t asking for free breakfast. I was simply asking for the Gold member benefit. After the experience at Uncle’s Tavern and then Stumps Cafe, I was genuinely very disappointed. I contacted the hotel before checking out, and they explained that staff had been instructed to charge the meal first and then apply the benefit to my booking card. However, this was never explained to me at the time. The staff member simply kept telling me that breakfast was not free, leaving me standing there feeling awkward and being refused for a benefit that I was entitled to. The hotel really needs to improve staff training and communication. Guests shouldn’t have to stand around waiting while staff try to figure out the membership benefits, especially when the information is clearly available on the Accor website.

The carpet was absolutely filthy. There was also blood stains on the carpet and smeared across the curtain. There was also blood on the tap. Woeful.

Stayed here before. Starting to get very tired in rooms. No hot water at all. When I told them not really any care. No offer of a room to shower so cold wash it was . Really poor attitude in the morning.

I recently completed a stay at your property .I wanted to recommend your front desk staff for a very smooth check-in experience,and note that I really appreciated how spacious the room was. However,I did experience a few issues during my stay.There was a bit fair of disruption of outside noise.I also encountered regular issues trying to open my doors,as navigating the shutters alongside a frustratingly difficult lock mechanism made it quite a hassle to enter. Finally, I noticed a white powder build up(limescale) inside the in room kettle,which indicates it hasn't been properly descaled or cleaned recently. I hope maintenance and housekeeping teams can look into these details to improve the guest experience. Thank you"

The breakfast at stumps was great which was included for platinum members. Checkin was pretty pleasant, early checkin so I could do some work. No housekeeping and when towels were left, the door wasn’t locked properly. Very important in Alice Springs. Luckily my stuff wasn’t taken, but it’s not something you can risk, especially in that area. Mentioned it and got a couple of drinks for the issue, but the door fiasco was troubling.

Very disappointed that having given more than 24 hours no refund was available for the first night of my 3 night stay. I tried to cancel the first night due to circumstances beyond my control. In all my years of travelling both nationally and overseas I have never experienced this attitude before.

The first room we were allocated contained numerous cockroaches. I reported the issue to reception who agreed that this was not acceptable, and upgraded us to a superior room. Whilst the response was certainly appreciated, the issue was not good and I hope appreciate fumigation of the room is carried out.
