3 day work visit. Have stayed before and location works well for me. All meals adequate with evenings being hot. Breakfasts did not hold a good temperature but food was tasty

I’ve stayed at the Mercure Alice Springs many times for work and, frankly, I keep giving it another chance only because of my All Accor status. Unfortunately, each stay reinforces the same experience. The customer service is consistently terrible. Across reception, housekeeping and the restaurant, staff are routinely rude, disinterested and unhelpful. It is some of the worst service I have experienced at a major hotel chain. Basic housekeeping is unreliable. Rooms are often not serviced at all, and when they are, it is half done. On my most recent stay, used towels were taken away and not replaced, and basic items like coffee pods were not restocked. These are fundamental expectations, not optional extras. The hotel also seems to operate under a set of strange, unexplained rules that are enforced without any effort at courtesy or explanation. After a long day of work, I went to reception to ask for cutlery and a plate for takeaway food. I was sent to the in-house restaurant, where the staff member barely acknowledged me, opened and slamed shut drawers, disappeared to the back without explanation, and eventually returned with a small pack of disposable cutlery. When I asked if I could also have a plate, I was simply told “no”, with no explanation or attempt to be helpful. This kind of interaction unfortunately reflects the broader pattern. Service is consistently subpar, dismissive and lacking even basic hospitality. It’s disappointing, especially given how often people are required to stay here due to limited options in Alice Springs. I would not recommend this hotel unless your expectations are set very low.

Nice size room excellent restaurant BUT air con above bed dripped water constantly and reception didn’t get anyone in to resolve the issue even after three times of asking. Laundry room was very very dirty.

However, we regret that the air conditioning issue and the cleanliness of the laundry room did not meet your expectations. We were greeted by lovely staff who were friendly and accommodating. The restaurant Barra on Todd was exceptional and would highly recommend it. The Todd was flooding and many people were affected by this staying at the Resort but we were not.

The hotel is in a good position, very close to the town centre. The rooms have large tv, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities, water pressure is high in the shower, air con and the room is very clean and serviced regularly. There is a lovely swimming pool with fountain for hot afternoons, with sun loungers and sunshade. The restaurant serves excellent food and there is ample parking space for your vehicle.
