Reception staff very pleasant and helpful, were very knowledgeable of the area and happy to assist us with our questions. Our room was located in a quiet area, very clean and tidy.

Arrived late morning and rooms were already ready. Check-in clerk was friendly and helpful providing information about the hotel and facilities. We ate lunch and dinner at the hotel and enjoyed the offering. Checking out was, however, a nightmare. The hotel systems didn’t seem to work well and it took over half an hour to ensure all was in order. Surely this could have been better. While we received our drink vouchers, we did not receive a bottle of water as usual as a high status Accor plus member.

The booking through Accor and the front of office serving staff on my arrival were both excellent. There was a 30 minute wait as a fire alarm was sounding when I drove into the premises in the mid afternoon. They were evacuating people from the premises while waiting for the fire brigade to arrive - evidently a false alarm. It took time for the front of house systems to reboot also. They handled people well under the circumstances. a big tick. Perhaps as a result of the evacuation alarm, my room was not supplied with bath towels. Reception rectified quickly when told. Room was not serviced for the three days - possibly the policy, or perhaps through staff shortages. The room was comfortable and clean. The block out drapes need extra hooks. Prefer the desk chair not have arms as its, both restrictive and require pushing back on carpet. I booked an extra room for a friend for one night, early on Sunday. I was informed the room would be delayed until after 4 pm due to staffing issues. The reception staff were excellent again when we arrived at 6 pm, but the room was not available yet. They offered us drinks and adjusted night rate. We enjoyed the service and food for dinner at the Barra on Todd Restaurant. The second room was then ready. The reception staff were excellent and assisted my guest to her room.
