Lovely hotel with very attentive and welcoming staff. Excellent Breakfast and we had a lovely room. We stayed 3 nights in room 106 and the only issue was the WiFi connection was extremely poor in this room, but we were out most of the time so not really an issue for us. We had a lovely meal in the bar but found the menu a little bit limited on choices. Overall a fantastic mini break with friends.

I was with a travel group here for three nights. We all enjoyed our stay. My roommate and I had the Casanova suite. Wow what a suite. We were spoiled. The people are so very nice and made our stay even more special. Food was great in the hotel. Spa was great for many of our group. Close walking for all things you need to experience. Would go again and stay there.

Allen was fantastic! Hotel was okay. We were put into a huge room in the older half of the building and it was a unique experience however we got there and there was used glasses and the phone wouldn't work other than to call reception. There was a bathtub that we couldn't get to drain so we had to call maintenance at 11pm to come to the room and fix it. In the morning we noticed there were ants all over the room and bed. Went to the reception and asked for a manager and there wasn't one there. Had to wait a while for someone to check out and a new room to be cleaned for us to switch rooms. Second room had a nice view but smaller and the shower didn't have a door so the tile floors were soaked and slippery afterwards. Had to ask a second time to speak to the manager because they didn't come see us when they got there and were told it's an old building and they are aware of the ant problem. Gave us a free drink and some points for Accor to make up for it. The information about the hotel they provide on the tv gives false/misleading information. We spent a lot of CAD on this hotel but not really worth it.

The condition of the first room, the maintenance concerns, and the presence of ants do not reflect the standards we aim to uphold, even in a historical building like ours. Regarding your request to speak with a manager, I was unfortunately not on property at that moment. I arrived later in the morning, but by then you had already left the hotel for the city, so we were unable to meet in person at that moment but we had a chat later. We are also sorry that the second room did not fully meet your expectations, particularly the shower layout. I would like to reassure you that the hotel will undergo a full renovation starting in 2026, which will address many of the structural and layout challenges that come with operating within a heritage building. Your comments about the in-room information have also been reported to the relevant team for immediate correction. We appreciate your patience throughout these inconveniences. Although compensation was provided, we understand this did not fully restore the experience you anticipated. We hope to welcome you back in the future under improved conditions.
