Got good poisoning first night, Sunday, so ill, tried calling reception, no one answered, passed out in the bathroom due to excessive vomiting, was concussed, a black eye, had to email via the APP that I need urgent assistance, 24 hours I was alone, Monday afternoon the hotel called a doctor, AUD$1650 later and medication, spent the week in bed trying to recover, only went out for food, tried the hotel restaurant again, food was inedible. Was unable to conduct any of my business. FOM was helpful to a point, GM has fobbed me off and given a lame excuse either from AI or Accor SOPs, a week later I am still waiting on a return email, a refund, my medical bills paid for probably now I will be seeking compensation. I am not going away, I know my rights and I will escalate this matter. In 40 years of travel, never ever have I experienced such neglect and incompetence, furthermore I am a Diamond Elite member with Accor. I will be pursuing this matter.

Lovely hotel in good location with very helpful staff. However the floor in the bathroom and shower was extremely slippery when wet and there is no grab handle so taking a shower was very nerve wracking.

Staff were borderline passive. Asian lady staff in breakfast service was passively rude. Better staff would make the stay more pleasant. In comparison The Alchymist Grand Hotel was amazing.
