Found it a little strange that I had to call a number to obtain access to the hotel at 6 pm at night.

I did not like the self check in. There are many reasons why a human is necessary on arrival. If I had known about self check in earlier I would not have booked here. Room was clean and comfortable but no toilet paper. I had a good sleep but on returning from a walk the following morning was unable to gain access to my room and had to return to lobby to find phone number for assistance, the first phone number did not connect and luckily a staff member was entering the building and helped me to get assistance to access the room

The hotel is obviously going through a change to permanent residents. Had I known this, I would not have stayed here. I did not like the impersonal check in, it was a lot busier and noisey. The last two times I have stayed here I’ve had issues with car parks not being available. It is a shame that The Sebel will not be a hotel as it was a great, convenient stay for us when in Wellington.

Initially I couldn't access the hotel as I discovered on arrival, there is no longer a front desk. Once I eventually gained access and completed check-in at a kiosk, I made my way to the room to discover a smaller room than expected and two single beds. No front desk to discuss this with and I know too well how responsive the ACCOR desk is, despite being a Platinum member. Dissapointed.
