Although we visited the Fairmont in Banff (the Waldhaus for lunch and The Rundle Bar for tea-both excellent) and the Fairmont at Lake Louise (The Lakeview Lounge for lunch-also excellent) Rimrock is our favorite of the three resorts. Everyone was exceptionally kind and accommodating, The Parker’s Table at Rimrock is top notch delicious for both dinner and breakfast (the eggs Benedict was the best I’ve ever had!) and the Market was perfect for quick grab and go’s. Live music everyday- I could go on and on. Between the three, we really enjoyed the Rimrock because it’s not commercialized with a lot of shops like both of the Fairmont’s and it has a much more relaxed and comfortable atmosphere overall. We’ll definitely be back-can’t wait!

First, I want to say my wife and I loved the Rimrock during our 8-day vacation celebrating our wedding anniversary. I had stayed there before many years ago. It is a first class resort.The Rimrock was very accommodating at check-in by providing us a room that was on the opposite side of the pool construction area as we had requested. The room offered a spectacular view of the mountains on the 8th floor (room 822). The reopening of the Rimrock had a few minor quirks, which, as a business owner myself, I perfectly understood. I gave my feedback regarding these quirks while we were there to try to be helpful rather than critical. Some are very minor. I will list them again here: The Room service hanging door card was ambiguous and caused us to miss room service one day and run out of clean towels. The front desk responded to our call quickly and provided room service later that evening. We had breakfast each morning at Parker's Table. The omelet dish for breakfast was delicious but unusually small. I feel the Rimrock should add an egg or two to their omelet dish. It came with a few small potatoes for $28. Feel this can be improved. Eggs are not that expensive. If needed, add the eggs and increase the price. We left breakfast hungry. We also had dinner at Parker's Table one night. The dinner required an excessive wait. There were apparent issues in the kitchen. The chef was apologetic and tried to make everything right by offering a complimentary dessert. Unfortunately, we could not stay long enough to accept the kind offer due to other plans. The dining manager, Jeremy, was quite gracious and comped us for dinner and next day's breakfast which was greatly appreciated. On the next day, the dining manager, Nick, followed up at breakfast, and he was also very gracious.This was all followed by the hotel's assistant manager, Rishan, a very kind and gracious man, who helped make our stay very enjoyable by helping us out with limo transport from the property to Banff Sprinigs for dinner at the Banff Springs Steak house. Also, we would like to thank Rishan for providing a complimentary bottle of Champagne and hors d'oeuvres in our room. Very special. All these comps helped erase the effects of the few growing pains at the reopening. It was good business and greatly appreciated. So thanks to the entire Rimrock staff and especially all those mentioned in this reveiw who went out of their way to making our anniversary stay there so special! Dr. Richard and Kelly B. (Room 822)

Beautiful view and very kind employees. I didn’t realize it was still under construction, which didn’t impact our stay much. We received a lovely room and the breakfast was incredible in addition to yoga and hiking supplies available for guests. The light up sculpture is very fun. I was greeted in the restaurant with a cup of bleach. While I’m sure it wasn’t on purpose the experience was jarring in that either cleaning agent was in my water or the metal containers created a horrible flavor. The room was oppressive hot night one and we could not get the room to cool until day 2 causing poor sleep. The room smelled like chemicals and not the same as the sulfur. It was as if the furniture and carpet was still off gassing. I was concerned for our health breathing in the fumes.

Breakfast should be more elaborate. Less number of items. Should be quick fux.

Unbelievable 3-night experience overall. Everyone was friendly: from the bell staff, concierge, front desk, everyone contributed to ensure our stay was top of the line. We also originally booked the wellness studio w/ peak mountain views. The team upgraded us to the king studio, which was even more incredible!

The renovated hotel is beautiful and staff, bedrooms, food vvvv good. But - had to use Banff springs for a swim/sit out. Pool area here in and out very dated. The outdoor pool corners have broken and disgusting tiles

We came to Rimrock Resort for what we thought would be a simple site tour to explore the property for our wedding. We left having experienced one of the most memorable weekends of our lives. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the Rimrock team pays attention to the things most places overlook. My fiancé and I were completely floored when we learned we'd been upgraded to a suite, but it was everything around that gesture that truly moved us. The thoughtful little touches throughout our stay made us feel genuinely celebrated, not like guests passing through, but like people the team actually cared about. We kept turning to each other saying, "Can you believe this?" The highlight of the weekend was our dinner at Parker's Table, which was, without exaggeration, one of the finest dining experiences we've ever had. The food was exceptional and the service was flawless, but what made the night unforgettable was the people. It meant so much to us to connect with so many members of the team: the chef who came out to speak with us after dinner, the manager who checked in with such genuine warmth, and Kevin, who made us feel so looked after. Everyone's professionalism, kindness, and authentic excitement about our engagement moved us more than we can put into words. None of this would have come together without Ryan Murphy, who orchestrated the entire weekend with such care and thoughtfulness. He turned a routine property visit into an experience we'll be talking about for years. If this is the level of hospitality Rimrock brings to a simple tour, we cannot imagine how extraordinary a full event here must be. We're now genuinely excited about the possibility of bringing our entire wedding weekend to Rimrock Resort, so we can share this same kind of magic with the people we love most. To Ryan and the entire Rimrock and Parker's Table teams: thank you for making us feel like the most important people in the world. We won't forget it.

The hotel and location are very good and the staff attentive and helpful. I was upgraded to a suite which was nice, but overall, it's extremely expensive

We arrived at the front desk on August 23 at 4:30 pm and were told that our room required a "few touchups". When I pointed out that it was already past checkin time we were offered a $100 credit to spend at the bar while we waited. I was told that I would receive a text once the room was ready. AT 6 PM I still hadn't heard back so I returned to the desk and spoke with a different person. He told me that since my room was on the 5th floor there was a delay due to water issues. When I pushed for details I found out that there had been a flood. I had booked a suite with a balcony - we were celebrating a birthday - and asked if I could have another suite - one that wasn't flooded. Nothing with a balcony was available, so we settled on another suite. My issue with all of this is - why weren't we told what the problem was upon checkin? We understand that stuff goes wrong, especially during a renovation, and would have been happy to take another suite at that time. I was left feeling very angry with the situation. We were indeed comped one night and breakfast - thankful for that - but the whole lack of honesty has left a bad taste in my mouth. We had been loyal guests at the Rimrock for years. Now we do not have the desire to return. With the exception of two servers, the other servers were curt and seemed unimpressed. We will take our travel money and spend it elsewhere.

The food in the restaurant was excellent, almost all of the staff was extremely pleasant and friendly and lovely to be around. The views from the hotel were amazing as advertised, but marred by the construction right outside our window, which was not. When we made the reservation, based on what the reservation agent told us,we expected all the construction to be completed. The room was very expensive, and we expected more luxurious accommodation. The main lamp in the room did not have a light switch. There was limited lighting in the room. The staff did not replace the coffee creamer once you used.The staff member at the front desk sent us up to the incorrect room, we had to go back down and get the correct key and room number. . He wasn’t very pleasant either. there were no amenities included with our stay. Everything had an extra charge. . There was no pool, no hot tub. There was an option to go to another hotel and use theirs, but this was very inconvenient. there were absolutely no outdoor activities within walking distance of the hotel. The adjacent trails were trashed and unusable. The setting of the bar was beautiful, but there was usually loud music playing which is not conducive to an enjoyable bar experience in this type of location.

For an “ultra-luxury” hotel, we were pretty disappointed. We had several mishaps from the moment we checked in (ie pool still closed, no notes on birthday celebration, forced to change rooms due to water leak, new room across from construction) which made the experience entirely underwhelming. I can’t say that I would ever return or recommend this hotel to anyone. Most of the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, with the exception of the female manager who handled our check in and check out - she was rude and unhelpful. Everyone else was a delight.

We had a suite that was larger than we really needed. Unfortunately, the couches were not comfortable and we kept hitting our head on the light hanging over one of the couches. The bathrooms were lovely and I took a bath in the huge tub. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly. Just beware that if you are waiting for the 1 Roam bus it may be full after picking up people at the gondola. The Rimrock bus runs every half hour but doesn't take you as far into town. The parking garage is ok. We ate dinner at Parker's Table and the trout was delicious (but expensive). The coffee shop in the hotel has perfect pain au chocolates.

only issues we had was you did not have Chardonnay for 4 days in a row in the main floor bar area. I had to go buy it in the snack shop. On the 4th day i insisted that they go to the main restaurant and get it!

Overall very good experience. The hotel is still under renovation which did impact our stay. However, the staff and accommodations were great!

Our stay was pleasant until checkout, when we encountered several serious billing issues. The staff member at reception (one of the twins assisting us that day) initially refused to apply the US$100 room credit toward the hotel parking fee, even though this credit was included in our package and we were specifically told at check-in that it could be used for parking. After going back and forth several times, she finally said she would check and then applied the credit. However, she subsequently charged the parking fee again, effectively resulting in a double charge. Even more concerning, she applied only CAD$100 rather than US$100. Because the invoice was emailed to me rather than reviewed with me at checkout, I did not notice these errors until we were already on our way to the airport. Unfortunately, my brother-in-law, who was staying in a separate room, experienced similar issues. He was charged for a breakfast bill belonging to another guest who did not even have the same name, and his US$100 room credit was not applied at all. He also discovered the problem only after we were on our way back to the airport. I had to call the hotel approximately 5–7 times to get the billing issues resolved for both rooms, which ultimately took 2–3 hours of our time. This was a very frustrating way to end an otherwise pleasant stay. I strongly suggest that the hotel review its checkout and billing procedures and provide better training and oversight to ensure that staff handle these matters accurately and professionally. Guests should not have to spend hours after checkout correcting billing errors that could have been easily avoided.

Your check in process was very nice. Our check in professional walked us to our room. She was very nice (sorry I don't recall her name) The new rooms are beautiful. I was just disappointed the pool/hot tub were not complete. That was not explained to us.
