Checked in and left bags to be brought up. Told it would be 10-15 mins. After 45 mins I called down and then about 15 mins later they arrived. I went to use the iron and the ironing board had a hole in it with the metal prongs bent up. Had I not noticed I likely would have damaged my clothes. I bent them down with a towel. The iron iteself the retractable cord would not stay out when stretch so kept pulling out of the socket to close. Limited hangers in room . Just seems like attention to details was lacking

Everything about the hotel is iconic and a remarkable experience. The staff makes you feel like you are truly a VIP. This property is directly on Lake Louise, so it's well worth the cost if you want to truly take your time enjoying the location. Some down sides; there wasn't much info provided on what was available to do on property. Almost all the activities where shut down for the season (canoes, e-bikes) when we arrived. There was plenty of hiking around the lake that no one really mentioned. It wasn't until we took the path around the lake that we realized we had a couple more hiking options around the property itself. They need to start the fire pits a bit earlier in the Fall season. With most activities done by Canadian Thanksgiving, they should increase the amount of time they have fire pits available. They start a "family" one around 5, but don't start the other one until 7. The family one gets too busy with kids, there's no room for adults. It's one of the only things one can do outside this time of year. Also, hard to find out what the "resort fee" actually includes. It wasn't until the day before did we find that it includes complimentary bear spray, hiking poles, and ice cleats. All available at the concierge. We shared this info with other guests we met and they were also very surprised by all this info, they weren't informed either. We booked a suite for three of us and it was plenty spacious. As expected, its very expensive. Specifically the food. There are some small local restaurants down the road if you're looking to eat off property. Pool and hot tub are indoors, no view. That was probably the most disappointing thing. For adults, they do have Basin, their water spa, for an extra cost. That was amazing. I'm glad I did it but I definitely feel that 1.5 hours was more than enough time. I'd rather book a 1.5 hour session each day versus a full 3 hours at once. Overall, Basin was amazing and I'd highly recommend.

I've been fortunate enough to have stayed at a few Fairmont hotels in Canada and I can say with certainty, that this one has been the best yet! From the beginning with the valet, to the front desk staff of the Gold floor, to the wait staff in the lounge, even the employees at the stores, absolutely everybody was phenomenal! Overall, we had a good time. However, I think our check in with Callum made a bad first impression. He seemed curt and dismissive. He did not explain our benefits (from Chase Reserve) and perks from being on gold. He told us rooms are guaranteed to be cleaned by 4 when we got there but didn’t tell us our rooms were ready until we approached him again at the front desk at 4:15. We also booked an excursion with him, which he did not explain very well. He didn’t even let us know where we were supposed to meet. We found out on the day of the excursion where we were supposed to gather.

You're paying for the view, not a 5-star hotel experience. The phone in my room didn't work. I had to use my cell phone to call the front desk. The valet brought the wrong car and addressed me with another name. We had to ask, "where's the cheese?" on the onion soup in the Lakeview Restaurant. No one explained the buffet (with no hot food or egg/omelet chef) to us our first morning there at Louiza. But I want to single out Charlotte, Alec, and Kenny T. at Loiuza who provided outstanding personal service. I've had a better buffet at a Hilton. It was poorly attended and constantly ran out of items with empty serving trays abundant, especially the salmon. It's a Hilton with a great view.

we were on the first floor and had a hard time getting a free elevator with our luggage to check out. A wonderful young lady that was cleaning on the first floor helped with our luggage and guided us to another elevator less crowed - she could have told us where to go but she went out of her way. (I wish I would have gotten her name) she deserves a shout out..(blond hair, pony tail if that helps)

From the moment you arrive, the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise feels majestic, royal, and timeless. The sheer elegance of the exterior and interior is breathtaking, while the surrounding grounds and lake views offer a peaceful, fairytale-like connection to nature.
What truly sets this resort apart is the flawless attention to detail, particularly regarding accessibility: As a wheelchair user, I was delighted to have a fully accessible room that included a private balcony—a wonderful, thoughtful touch for someone with limited mobility.
The paved pathways made it easy to navigate and enjoy the stunning lakeside scenery smoothly.
This is the finest spa I have ever experienced. We spent three full hours moving effortlessly between rooms. The staff gave excellent structural suggestions to maximize our relaxation, and the plush robes were pure luxury.
The staff went above and beyond, treating us like royalty and genuinely caring about our experience. The food was absolutely amazing.
No detail is overlooked here. It is a deeply rejuvenating sanctuary that I highly recommend to everyone, including travelers with mobility needs.

Great stay overall, but room placement and service consistency need attention
We had a few minor issues, but other than that, everything was good! A few specific service experiences stood out that could be improved:
- Room View:We were told at reception that our room had been "upgraded" to a junior suite, which was nice, but we weren't informed that this meant trading our booked mountain view for a view of the parking curb. It would have been better to be asked or given the choice first. Also there was no "no disturb card" in our room, and our room got visited, "to make the room ready for the night" I guess, 2 hours we checked in without any notice.
- Lakeview Lounge Service: The service crew made us feel looked down upon. During our dinner reservation, our waitress wore a fake smile and awkwardly asked if I was a student, and out of nowhere suggested we take our dessert to go. The following day, we went to the bar area for one last drink with a view before leaving. We had two carry-on bags with us and asked the host if it was okay to bring them in. The host agreed and pointed to a spot to leave them (which was fine), but then came back visibly unhappy and moved them right next to us without saying a word. Afterward, the bartender didn't bother to come over for 10 minutes, even though there were only about three tables occupied. When he noticed I was getting upset, he casually asked, "Busy day?"—which felt dismissive.
- Gift Shop Staff: While I understand staff can get frustrated with day-trip tourists who might be difficult, the person working in the gift shop treated paying hotel guests poorly. When I politely asked if I could pay for items while she was organizing things, she rolled her eyes and gave a dismissive "in a minute" vibe.
