The hotel was good, nothing fancy, the pool I messaged about ahead of time and was told it would be open was not open so that was very disappointing. I was unable to use the hot springs because of my tattoos which was fine, I was allowed in to watch my girls though, but turns out hot springs is actually a bath and kids 6 and up men and woman were all in there together naked, no bathers allowed. Not something I was comfortable with, nothing against there culture, just something Westerners should bare in mind.

The staff were absolutely wonderful. Even the guests were friendly! The dining area was stylish and comfortable. The food was delicious and the variety was greatly appreciated. The playrooms for the kids and families were fun and safe. The lobby and lounge area were comfortable. However, the room was rather disappointing. We booked a tatami room (figuring it would be safest and easiest with a one-year-old). I had read that there were renovations to the hotel within the past year or two and it really looked like that in pictures and reviews. When we got off the elevator on the 6th floor I believe, I became curious about the conditions. It didn't look so new. When entering the room, I knew immediately it had not been renovated in a very long time. I'm not sure what the bathrooms are like in the new rooms on the other floors, but it was very disappointing to find an old unit bathroom with poor lighting, no space to move and no countertop. Additionally, the windows were old and dirty, mostly on the outside, I think. The TV was old. The top of the refrigerator had many stains, and the sliding door did not move smoothly. It was our first trip as a family, and I didn't want the situation to get me down, so I ignored it. It was quite the shock after seeing the new lobby, the play areas and the nice pictures online though.
