Overall experience is good. I arrived almost mid night and the reception is quick to check in for me. Location is super. Conveniently located in the city center. My luggage didn’t arrive until the next evening. I managed to grab all my necessities the next morning within five minutes walk.

Started off of wrong foot, I (and I know other guests had the same issues) did not spot the reception sign for the top floor and at 22.45 hours this was annoying. Also I and others did not spot the requirement for cleaning room service ie the blue light switch! The rooms are very basic, one chair, nowhere to hang or pot clothes for 2 persons, toilet partition basically a curtain with a sliding panel. Breakfast food poor.

This is the very first time I am leaving a review for a hotel. As a general rule, I am not very demanding when it comes to hotels. For an Ibis Styles, which is supposed to be a step up, I found it less impressive than a classic Ibis. I was supposedly upgraded to a room on the 7th floor with a view of the castle. To be honest, I couldn't care less about the view. I just wanted a functional room with a clean bed. In my opinion, the room layout was much worse than the one I had on the 5th floor! On the 5th floor, there was a real, proper bathroom with the toilet, shower, and sink all together. Here, you open the sliding door and you are directly in the shower box, and the sink is literally in the bedroom... It is a terrible layout and offers no privacy. There is also just one small hook next to you to hang your clothes. On top of that, the mattresses were not clean at all. When I pulled back the sheets to check the bed, I discovered stains all over the mattress! However, the staff was polite.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. A nice hotel with different seating areas and patios too. Breakfast was great. The Room was very small and the bed was tucked in between two walls. Clean room and bathroom though.
