Swissôtel Tashkent 5 stars

We had a wonderful stay at Swissôtel Tashkent. The hotel is incredibly modern, clean, and beautifully designed. The room is spacious and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, which was perfect for relaxing. Every staff member we encountered, especially Amelya, Alyona and Farza, was professional and welcoming. They provide great help on our transportation arrangement. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city!

Housekeeping was extremely poor. On several occasions, my room was either not cleaned properly or completely forgotten despite displaying the “Please Clean Room” sign. Requests for basic items such as towels required multiple calls and long waiting times. The spa experience was among the worst I have ever had. I initially gave the first massage the benefit of the doubt, but the second session was unacceptable. The therapist repeatedly checked and used not one but two mobile phones throughout the treatment. Guests are in a vulnerable position during a massage, face down and partially undressed, and this level of distraction is completely unprofessional and should never be allowed in a luxury hotel spa. The experience was so poor that I left before the massage was finished. Room service was equally disappointing. Ordering something as simple as a fruit platter became an unnecessary debate, with staff explaining that it was only intended for two people and not one guest. The concierge service was no better. I asked them to arrange a padel booking, was provided with the wrong address, and ended up being dropped in the middle of nowhere, wasting both time and money. Apart from the restaurant, which was enjoyable, the overall service standards fell far below what one would expect from the Swissôtel brand. Unfortunately, this experience had very little in common with the quality and professionalism I have previously experienced at other Swissôtel properties. The one notable exception was Emilia Galieva. She was the only member of staff I encountered who consistently demonstrated the level of professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine customer care that I would expect from the Swissôtel brand. While many of the issues during my stay should never have occurred in the first place, Emilia made every effort to resolve problems quickly and professionally. My sincere thanks to her for her dedication and excellent service. Sadly, one outstanding employee cannot compensate for the numerous shortcomings experienced throughout this stay. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel.

My stay at the Swissotel Tashkent was fantastic. The room was large, spotlessly clean and comfortable. I felt right at home instantly. The gym was well equipped and clean, while breakfast service was organized and served delicious food with a wide variety. The biggest asset of this property is its staff. Samandar and Alyona checked me in and were very gracious to grant an extended check out, while Samira and Emilia went out of their way to come up with local recommendations and to direct me to an eye clinic when I had a medical issue. Bellman Mr. Djon was also very friendly and helpful! Highly recommend.
