The hotel is well located within the 'inner ring' of Tashkent. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, some minor issues made our stays less than perfect. For example, the shower soap container had run out, and no one re-filled it during our stay. This suggested a lack of attention to detail in some respect. The lounge was very quiet and felt 'exclusive' for platinum members. However, the guests are required to request the key card from reception whenever they wish to use the lounge. This could have been easily programmed into the guest's key card. Staff seem a bit 'green', but full mark for everyone's friendiless and effort.

Overall, and despite some genuine highlights, our experience unfortunately did not meet the standards one would expect from a 5-star Swissôtel property within the Accor group. Check-in We arrived at 10am following an international flight. While we understood that the official check-in time was 2pm, reception suggested that an early check-in would likely be possible within 30 minutes to 2 hours — so we went out for breakfast and returned around noon. The room was still not ready. We were asked to wait again, and ended up sitting in the lobby for an additional 1h45, finally checking in at 13h45. Throughout this time, the communication from the front desk was poor: we were repeatedly told “5 minutes,” one receptionist left for a break without briefing colleagues, and no one seemed to have visibility on room availability. Once at the desk, two further issues arose: our Accor points were not deducted from the invoice, and despite our request to pay in local currency, we were charged in USD — resulting in an unnecessary double currency conversion. Room Upon arrival in the room, we found the shower drain blocked, the conditioner dispenser empty, and the tissue box nearly depleted. Small details, but telling ones for a property of this level. Breakfast On our first morning, while we appreciated the variety on offer, the quality and taste of the food were below expectations — notably, the soup/broth was served lukewarm. On our second morning, we were one of only four guests in the restaurant and still waited over 20 minutes for an omelette and poached eggs. The breakfast manager on duty appeared more focused on his phone than on the service happening around him. In summary These are issues we might have overlooked in a 2- or 3-star context, but from a Swissôtel, the cumulative effect was genuinely disappointing. That said, the hotel itself has real strengths: it was quiet, clean, and comfortable throughout. The room was spacious with an excellent bed, and the spa — with its beautiful pool — was a very pleasant addition. We hope this feedback is taken constructively, as the property clearly has the foundations to deliver a much better experience.
