The staff was helpful and arranged airport transfers. Well appointed rooms and very clean.
A lot of construction ongoing around the hotel, but that did not impact our comfort too much.

We had a lovely experience, smooth check in with a lovely friendly gentleman can't remember his name but one that wore the black suit , nice room at first, but then we had issues with the AC, which was looked into however was not resolved and despite having given another room the issue still followed, I think it's an issue in the hotel itself, it switches off if theres no movement, so in the night you wake up sweating and your not able to change the settings as it is fixed on 18*c as we are from the UK sometimes that is warm for us , there's also one vent in the entire room that the AC leads out from and it's positioned in the back of the room so you can't feel it , if only it was in the middle.
Other than that everything else was fine ,
The supervisor on the evening we spoke too was extremely kind and helpful her name was Aylona, who dealt with the issue effectively and was going to take it to the senior team.
I would especially shout out to Doniyor as he went over and beyond to help us sort out taxi , booking it on our phone and was always polite and helpful, he always asked us how we are and anything he could be of help too,
Islomonbeq was also polite and helpful,
The trainee on the concierge desk Odona was really helpful when we were trying to book our excursion to the cable cars in chimchang, and Sabina was was a little hessistant at some occasion to support us when we tried asking her to sort a taxi for the excursion, I felt a little disappointed in her as she was a little stern when she spoke and so was another member of staff who she was liasing and who said he rang his friend for the taxi, can't remember his name .
Overall it was easy to communicate with the staff around the hotel as most of them could speak and understand English well .

Upon my check-in, surprisingly this time I have had to ask for a room upgrade because the room was given was terrible and it has been fixed though. One thing that was even more disappointing was that my room hasn’t been cleaned during my stay at all.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It was the start of our 7 day Uzbekistan tour. Our stay was comfortable. We would start our day with a scrumptious breakfast. The spread was large and the made to order eggs were nicely done.
A special shout out to Eliyana. She works at the front desk and was super helpful. She assisted us with the ATM, had great restaurant recommendations and even pointed out the different shopping options.

I recently stayed at the Swissôtel Tashkent and, while the hotel itself is beautiful and the staff were polite and helpful, my experience was overshadowed by repeated problems with the electronic door locks.
Throughout my stay, my room key stopped working on several occasions, requiring multiple trips to reception to have it reprogrammed. I also experienced the same issue with the Executive Lounge access card, which failed repeatedly. After going to reception three times, someone finally had to accompany me and manually open the lounge door.
The most frustrating incident happened on my departure day. I had dinner across the street before returning to the hotel to collect my luggage and head to the airport. When I got back to my room, my key once again wouldn’t work. I went to reception, where they sent a security employee with a master key, but even that failed to open the door. Eventually, an IT technician had to come and reset the electronic lock before I could access my room.
This entire process took a considerable amount of time and caused me significant stress, as I was supposed to be already on my way to the airport. I ended up arriving only about 15 minutes before my flight, and I very nearly missed it.
These recurring key and lock issues are simply not what I would expect from a five-star hotel, especially one of Swissôtel’s reputation. While I appreciated the professionalism of the staff and the quality of the facilities, the repeated failures of such a basic function had a major impact on my stay. I hope the hotel addresses these technical issues so future guests don’t have to experience the same frustration.
