A Wonderful Stay at Sofitel Shahd Al Madinah I had a wonderful two-night stay at Sofitel Shahd Al Madinah. The hotel is elegant, very clean, recently renovated, and exceptionally peaceful. In fact, it is one of the quietest hotels I have stayed at, which made the experience very relaxing. The location is excellent and the hotel is among the closest properties to Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, making it extremely convenient for prayers and visits to the Prophet’s Mosque. The staff were one of the best parts of my stay. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, smiling, and genuinely helpful. I would especially like to thank Saad Nabih and Wali Allah from the Bell Desk for their kindness, respect, and excellent service. They were always happy to assist and made me feel very welcome. The hotel also showed great generosity and hospitality during my stay. I was initially given a very spacious room, but unfortunately the room was warmer than expected due to an air-conditioning issue. The hotel handled the situation very professionally and upgraded me to an even more spacious suite, which I truly appreciated. The comfort of the suite was excellent. The bed, pillows, and towels were on another level of comfort, and the shower was extremely comfortable and relaxing. I was also impressed by the quality of the personal amenities, especially the soap, toothbrush, shower loofah, and other toiletries, which were noticeably better than what I usually find in hotels. The Front Office and Housekeeping teams were also friendly, responsive, and very helpful throughout my stay. The hotel provided excellent complimentary hospitality during the two nights, including fresh fruits and sweets, which was a lovely touch. Check-in and check-out were excellent, and I really appreciated being accommodated with both an early check-in and a late check-out. It made the whole stay much more relaxed and convenient. There are, however, a few areas that could be improved. The elevators are quite small, especially during busy periods. The breakfast was good in terms of quality, but I think it would benefit from more variety and better organization. The breakfast restaurant also feels somewhat cramped, and improving the layout and distribution of the seating and buffet areas would make the experience more comfortable. Another point that could improve the overall guest experience is the reception area layout. Because the reception area overlooks the restaurant, guests can sometimes see a lot of staff movement, including employees transporting kitchen equipment and other items. This slightly affects the elegant atmosphere and the overall first impression of the reception area. Ideally, staff movements and service operations should be discreet and, where possible, kept out of direct view of guests. Overall, I had an excellent experience at Sofitel Shahd Al Madinah. The peaceful atmosphere, fantastic location, spacious and comfortable rooms, high-quality amenities, and genuinely warm staff made the stay memorable. I would definitely stay here again and would happily recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable stay close to Al-Masjid an-Nabawi. Overall: Excellent — I would happily return.

I was bothered by noise from the room beside me room #1125 I kept hearing children screaming and doors pounding all night, Also I kept hearing maintenance noise during the morning which was odd since this is a 5 star hotel. You wouldn’t expect such things to happen but they did. Everything was great from the room, food, cleanliness and hotel general hygiene. But for a 5 star hotel to be this noisy is odd. Overall, the experience was far below the standard we expected.⁠‌​‌‌​​​‌‌​‌‌‌‌​​‌‌‌​⁠ I would like to highlight several specific issues encountered during our stay: Room Amenities: The curtains were undersized for the windows, allowing significant sunlight into the room in the morning, which made it very uncomfortable to sleep. Maintenance Issues: The prayer speakers were non-functional, and the flush in one of the bathrooms was out of order. Delivery Policy & Security: We encountered significant inconvenience when ordering delivery.⁠‌​‌‌​​​‌‌​‌‌‌‌​​‌‌‌​⁠ The staff refused to bring the delivery to the suite and would not allow the driver access. While I understand the need for security, we noted that the elevators are open to everyone.
