Pullman Haikou offers a pleasant environment with outstanding service. The outdoor zones are comfortable, and the pool area is well-equipped with a swimming pool and hot springs. Although the breakfast restaurant tends to be crowded, the food is delicious. All staff were friendly and helpful. I’d like to acknowledge Lobby Manager Mr. Lu and lounge staff Miss Sofina Wang in particular. We had a fantastic stay and will definitely come back.

Staff were brilliant, check in process was seamless and anything we needed received a prompt response. Facilities were all there with gym, playroom, Pool table etc. Swimming pool is great with day beds a plenty and 4-5 Hot Spring Tubs set at 42 degrees Celsius. Food was great with everything one should expect from a Hotel Buffet breakfast, with a good mix of western and chinese/asian cuisines. We were lucky enough to enjoy the Lounge facilities that served afternoon tea of various cakes and sandwiches and a set menu order or serving of food for Dinner. You can also eat in or order at the Chinese restaurant onsite. The Japanese restaurant was closed during our visit. We stayed for 9 nights in the 138m2 King Executive room with a huge balcony, spacious lounge room, walk in robe, a kitchenette with mini fridge, kettle, tea and coffee. Main bedroom had an overly comfortable King bed with full ensuite separate bath and shower, his and her sinks and toilet in addition to the powder room at the entrance. Water was provided daily and room cleaned daily also. Everything was immaculately clean. Food options are aplenty next door to the hotel should one choose to venture out, Bbq, hot pot, waffle house, cafe and small convenience store, many other options a short 10-15mins stroll. Hotel was great for us as it was on the water and often allowed for great viewing of the river, the dragon boat races/training was a common occurrence, and just being able to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city each day was great. Memorable stay, couldn’t recommend this hotel enough.

I had a very enjoyable one-night stay at Pullman Haikou. Although it was a short visit, the team made me feel genuinely welcome from arrival until departure. Everyone I interacted with was warm, friendly and professional. The breakfast was one of the highlights of my stay, with an excellent selection of both Chinese and international dishes, all beautifully presented and very fresh. It was a fantastic way to start the day. The Executive Lounge was also a pleasant place to relax in the evening. If I could suggest one small improvement, it would be to offer a few more sugar-free beverage options and to keep the refrigerator stocked a little more consistently throughout service. Overall, I had a great experience and would happily stay again when visiting Haikou. Thank you to the wonderful team for your hospitality.

From the start to the end of our seven day stay we were more than happy. Surprise double upgrade to a junior suite overlooking the river and ocean. Although little English spoken at this hotel the staff were ever helpful with Google translator. Breakfast varied and plentiful. Club lounge evening meals were large, very tasty and varied. A big thank you to the staff in the club lounge who went out of their way to make our stay even better. The pool, hot springs and fish therapy pool should not be missed. Dragon boats going up and down the river each evening was the best. A big call out to Brenda Ma, the GM who runs the hotel, many thanks. We shall return.

- bath amenities like shower gel and conditioner are not refilled during housekeeping, even after requesting it at front desk - concierge/front desk phone is often not manned with anyone that speak English. Sometimes the operator just hang up the phone call abruptly.

Thank you so much for upgrading my room! I’ve been here for two nights now, and I’m really enjoying it. The room is so spacious, and the balcony is a treat. The river view is absolutely stunning. Plus, there are a few outdoor pools to relax by. And the breakfast? It was delicious!

I have stayed in several places for work and recently for leisure as a retiree. The marketing for Pullman Haikou does not do the place the justice it deserves. Pullman Haikou was far better than I imagined. Why? The marketing materials did not capture the distinguished vibe and the distinguished world-class hospitality of every staff member I encountered. The vibe is one of full relaxation due to the enormous spaciousness of all aspects inside, outside and surrounding the resort. The distinguished world-class hospitality comes out from every staff member, every single encounter. Whether at front-desk, at breakfast, when house-keeping, and at dinner. A testament to this world-class hospitality is being able to remember the names of all of the staff: Ms. Joan and Ms. Polly at Front-Desk, Ms. Linda and Ms. Eileen at dinner time, Ms. Lena and Ms. May who attended to my room. Breakfast was amazing because so many of the staff showed care: Chefs Chris and Alan, Managers Jofee, Michael, Ben and Betty. My favourites were Jason, James and Andrew who helped me out at breakfast time as a foreigner. In just 7 days, these staff members made Pullman Haikou immensely memorable for me coming from Sydney Australia. This resort is now one of my all-time favourite places to stay anywhere in the world. To all of you, I thank you for being excellent ambassadors for Pullman, for Hainan, and generally for China. To me, you really have something so special going on in Pullman Haikou with your vibe and world-class hospitality.
