The hotel formally started it's operations in December 2019. The reception staff was helpful and efficient. The room had a very nice view at sea with it's large balcony garden. One thing no good was the Accor programme. I booked the hotel thru Accor App and paid all the charges. The system returned with a statement that I did not need to pay at the hotel. However, I was required to pay again when check-in. The Accor system is not linking all it's hotels! This is so misleading !

The hotel facilities are good. However, staff's knowledge on various procedures are not trained well. It seemed that this hotel is not linked to the Accor Hotel Group.

Room and bathroom is of good size. Room was upgraded given my Gold ACCOR status. Reception was friendly and efficient.Aircon in room 333 was not working at it's best. Temperature was set at 16C but temperature was at max 24C. Coffee/tea and coffee mugs were provided without tea spoon or stirrer. Would be interesting to hear from hotel why is tea spoon/stirrer is not provided. The cleaning lady told me to get it from reception which was really weird.

New ACCOR hotel in Hainan Island (Haikou)

Brand new hotel. Good service from front desk staff. Room and bathroom are of good size. More than 40 TV channels but only two English programme available (CNN and one other Channel). Coffee / tea and coffee mugs available in room but no tea spoon. I asked the cleaning lady for tea spoons and she said I have to get them from reception. It would be interesting to hear from the hotel on why no tea spoon is provided for making HOT coffee/tea. The aircon in room 333 is not cool. With the setting at 16C, the temperature is at most 24C. Hotel location is long way away from the city centre. You will need a car to get in and out of the hotel. The three days that I was there, I did not even see a taxi outside the hotel.

I have a warm received by your polite Mr. To at the counter, asking our need even we are not booked for, answer me all the questions I asked patiently, and at the date of rainy day check out, he call the taxi for us and clear the barred road to allow the taxi drive-in front of us. Taking care the luggage for us loading them carefully into the trunk, super additional service which I unexpected, room is clean and tidy! The only area you can improve is from your restaurant, choice of food everyday should make a change if not the client will have no choice to eat everyday the same breakfast which will be boring!

I would like to appreciate Jasmine at the front desk and Sophie Liao of Sales Department for their wonderful smile and great attitude. Except them, no one there seemed to work hard and sincerely. Please reward them properly since I believe hard working people must be well-rewarded. Housemaids who were working at the 3rd floor also very kind and nice. But, I still need to leave some comments. 1. none of room service staff could speak English and I couldn't even order the food I wanted cause they were all sold out while the menu said they were all-day menu. It was only around 5pm and all I could order was tomato pasta. 2. I called front desk for an opener for a bottle of beer and the male staff who answered my phone said every staff of F&B already left hotel so there was no opener at all at around 9pm. 3. Haikou is a hot city and it feels much hotter to the tourists from other climate. But the lobby was steamy hot all around my stay.

General experience was good. It was hard to get a taxi out from the hotel. Waited for more than 20 mins to get a Didi as there was no taxi. To be improved on this.

The hotel is located in a newly developed area where most of the facilities and transportation are still not up to standard. I learnt from the hotel staff that the hotel has opened for nearly one year. However, the swimming pool is still not in operation which is unacceptable in a tropical area like Haikou. Before visiting the hotel, I have read the comments of other visitors and the feedback of the management had mentioned the opening of the swimming pool soon. This is not true. On the other hand, the room I have checked in has the problem of leaking water basin in the toilet which has made the towels all wet and dirty. As we arrived at the hotel late at midnight and the kid was not aware of the problem and used the towel which made me annoying as I was not sure whether there would be bacteria in the towels. On the other hand, the services are not up to standard too. It seems that the staff have forgotten to clean the room (may be due to the repair of the leaking basin) on the first day until I requested the cleaning of the room in the evening. There was insufficient staff to serve during the breakfast too. Many food plates were empty without replenishment and there was supposed staff to station some food stalls but the real case was not. As a platinum member of Accor, there is a welcoming fruit basket on the first day of arrival in most of the hotels I visited before. However, the fruit basket was delivered to my room on the fourth day of my visit. Although I am not sure whether this is the benefit of a platinum member but it seems that this is not satisfactory compared to the experience I have from the other Accor hotels. I felt that my vacation to Haikou was not satisfactory because of the poor hotel I have selected this time. I hope the hotel could look into the operational problems immediately.

Lovely room and view of the river. I'm very annoyed that the pool was not ready for use and not noted in the advertising. Welcome drink was not ready and staff were insistent on room deposit which still has not been returned to me and there was nothing in the room for the deposit to cover.

I m very pleased with the staff ,especially Wendy,an English speaker. She goes beyond the call of duty.we also enjoyed the privilege of Accor club member. The only thing is the swimming pool is not ready,otherwise I would be completely satisfied.
