The location is convenient and not far from the city centre, making it easy to get around. The ambience throughout the hotel was lovely and comfortable. Although we didn’t manage to get a non‑smoking room, the hotel arranged an ozone treatment for us, which made a big difference. The value for money is solid, and the noise level was surprisingly low — we slept well. What really stood out was the service: from the front desk to the spa team to housekeeping, everyone was genuinely attentive and top‑tier. Amenities were complete and well‑maintained too. Overall, a pleasant and satisfying stay. Would definitely consider returning.

everything is great , just that there isnt soundproofing for the rooms , so even late at night we can still hear people slamming doors, ringing door bells and children screaming. Overall , its quite pleasant and well located, but maybe you can try something about the soundproofing to make it better. thanks

I had a comfortable stay at Novotel Pontianak, with several aspects that truly stood out, though there is room for improvement in cleanliness. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, and the furniture and facilities were well-maintained. The interior design was impressive—definitely exceeded my expectations for a 4-star hotel in Pontianak. The staff were consistently kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was a highlight: there was a wide variety of options, everything tasted great, and I especially appreciated the Indomie station. However, cleanliness needs more attention. I noticed stains on the floor, sofa, headboard, and some areas seemed to be overlooked during cleaning—such as corners, behind doors (including in the bathroom), under the bed, and inside cabinets. We were also provided with blue towels, which seemed unusual for in-room use—possibly due to a shortage of regular towels. Unfortunately, they left blue fibers on my skin and the bathroom floor after showering. Additionally, the hot water in the shower took quite a long time to heat up. Overall, a pleasant stay with great service and amenities, but improving cleanliness and room readiness would make the experience much better.

Very nice till the last day, someone just put her thing in the pool chair since 7 in the morning, and left to have breakfast, and went back to the pool chair at 9.45am!!!!! During that time pool was crowded, pool chairs occupied, only those chairs empty BUT with her stuff on it, and pool guy who work at the hotel helped me around 8am to moved her stuff away and offered me to use those chairs, when she got back around 9.45am she got NERVE to move my stuff away! I was livid! And talked to her! Anyway! This is NOT OKAY, I travel across the world, different country and stay in different kind of hotels and resorts , once the chairs unused for 30 Minutes, employees will moved their stuff and let other guests use the chairs, thats NOT OKAY to ‘tag’ it early and hope no one use the ‘unused’ chairs. Don’t be norak and kampungan. Put some rules in there, teach people to be more ‘ classy ‘. Love Novotel Pontianak anyway🫰🏼
