Rixos Premium Magawish Suites and Villas 5 stars

This hotel has many great features - we stayed in one of the villas that was spacious, well equipped and very clean. The hotel grounds are exceptionally well kept. We were two adults - staying over Easter - so lots of kids at this time and we appreciated the adult only areas (pool and bar). The staff were always super friendly, and made our stay very pleasant. The hotel has great facilities - pools, bars, restaurants, spa and beach area - everything you need during your stay. Areas for improvement - firstly communication with guests - it’s a large resort and current communication is poor. There could be far more done utilising technology to interact with guests - the App is poor by other hotel standards - during our stay the beach bar was suddenly closed with no warning or explanation and not reopened again. The Panarama bar had two music nights that required booking - this was not communicated and we were refused entry despite not being full. Secondly, booking of restaurants is not easy - we arrived Sunday and were unable to get into any of the restaurants until Wednesday. One of our criteria for booking any hotel is number of restaurants available to give different dining experiences, as we dislike buffet style restaurants. Thirdly, the quality of the experience in the restaurants varies considerably - Salt, Brazilian, Greek are very good. The Asian and Turkish were poor - due to food quality. The other restaurants we could not book during our stay - which we could not understand as every restaurant we ate in was never full and only appeared to have one sitting per evening - the booking system needs reviewing (it feels like the hotel policy is not for guests to eat in the al a carte restaurants every night of their stay) In all of the restaurants the service is too quick - with no time between courses - it felt like the staff wanted you in and out in 30 mins - we continually were telling him to slow down - for us the evening meal is an experience and to be rushed is not great. The buffet restaurant is not a 5 star experience and for us to be avoided - although the choice was good and great if you have kids. Fourthly, the drinks (spirits) in the bars are not genuine - I drink gin regularly and the gin from the Hendricks bottles was certainly not the real product. May be ok for some of the guests that don’t know the difference, but disappointing and again not a 5 star experience - don’t advertise something you don’t do. Overall a good hotel - but still somewhere to go to compete with 5 star All Inclusive resorts in Dubai, Mexico and Europe - all which we have stayed. As a director of a large retail company I have taken time to write this hoping that it will be useful to improve services and improve guest experiences.

Our room was nice and we were happy having paid for a sein up villa. The hotel is too big, it’s more like a small coty than a hotel with a personalized or premium experience. Food was below average, all cocktails were made with artificial juices and the flavours were more like artificial awful flavours. In fact the all inclusive is really based on very poor food quality to feed the hundred of tourists that are visiting the hotel. À la carte restaurants: complete disappointed, they’re are affecting the same, same food like in the buffet just under different names. The staff are just exhausted with so many people to service, the overall premium price paid is not reflected in the service. We feel we paid far to much for what we got. We’ll never visit a Rixos resort again.

It was nice, the pool villa very Beautiful , good food and drinks. Some services can be improved and staff must understand that not every one is from Russia.

This was our second visit, and even though we knew what to expect, we were still pleasantly surprised time and again. Whether it was the waiter, lifeguard, housekeeper, bartender, fitness trainer, mason, or gardener, everyone treated us very kindly and warmly. Their smiles were infectious and genuine. This is a resort we can’t get enough of and one we’ll always be happy to return to. We love to travel, but only to places where we feel truly welcome and treated like real friends. This is exactly that place! I originally wanted to name all the staff members who took such excellent care of us and whom we literally fell in love with, but it’s impossible. There were simply too many of them, and there isn’t enough space here. We send our greetings to all of them and look forward to our next reunion. The resort itself is very tastefully decorated, and it’s clear that even the smallest details have been thought through. Thank you for the wonderful week we were able to spend here.
