Experienced several issues while staying at this hotel. Checking in person was slow even though I checked in online in advance. Bathroom sink didn't drain well and had to remove the stopper. Hair dryer was not working and it took the hotel a long time to bring another one. Lighting system in the room is confusing to use. The mini bar was not cooling at all and customer service did not fix it even after telling them 3 times. The AC/heater made a cracking noise sometimes so I turned it off completely. Went to use the sauna on first day and it was turned off. Restaurant on 9th floor was closed. The rooms are not sound proof and you can here people talking outside and room cleaning service yelling room service in the morning. The only positive is that the hotel location was great.

The service was horrendous, the lobby stunk like a sewer. The staff was disorganized and rude, check-in was at 3;00 at 3:45 I was still waiting for my room to be cleaned, granted I arrived at the hotel at 2:30. I was not offered a welcome drink, I spent money for luxury and peace, I received admin and chaos. Your club members room is better off being a converted to a sundowner's chill zone, because you pay extra for a club member room to only have access to the room between 6 to 8 pm. With very little to offer. Your staff at breakfast was absolutely rude to a family member of mine. You cannot call this establishment a 5 star. You may think this review is harsh, but I can assure you I also stayed in Gebze, and the service was ten times better there, I'm not asking you to change the world, but I paid for 5-star service, and it seems I'm better off picking any other brand but Sofitel. The only perks of this hotel are the nice gym and spa facilities, the view and the location. Even the people at the independent salon made me feel more welcomed. Your housekeeping staff has better customer management than your front desk services. Please know my review will be going on TripAdvisor and other platforms. I am not the only guest who has felt like this, there were a few from other families in the lobby with me that shared the same sentiment, so don't take my review lightly I suggest you do something if you want your brand in Taksim not lose its name. Quite frankly I would give this a 0 but it's not an option.

Awful staff language barrier rude staff bad behaviour

The location is perfect the hotel room size everything on point the housekeeping staff is so good nice polite and helpful but the staff at reservations at reception is terrible such a strong language barrier so much inconvenience so much of wrongful charges i was charged the double amount on credit card even after i paid in full in cash at check out i was told i will be emailed a confirmation and i am chasing and sent 10 emails since i have returned and nothing i have recieved the check in was horrible the check out was horrible my card was charge £559 witjout my consent or without me notified about it even after i paid in full for cash i have sent 10 enails to send me GM email address and no one sends me details im being passed like a ball reservation says front desk will sort it they say reservation will sort it and nothing is sorted my cash is gone as i paid in full my credit card went over limit coz u keep charging and chargi g

I suggest that if you use the hotel, be sure to use the hotel spa services and enjoy. These days, we're all stressed out.
