Terrible, located in a loud and busy roundabout

I arrived after 2100hrs was given minimum info including how to find my room. The reception area was loud as there were several dozen youngish groups of I presume trade workers in groups drinking and smoking outside of the main reception. I was not advised that I needed to enter my vehicle registration number at any point - I don’t stay away often and perhaps I should have known this - but I did book ti include free parking online. My room was right next to a very busy round about which was on a fast road and very noisy late into the night and from 0500. The hotel is in poor condition needing more than a refurbishment. I would not return or recommend

We arrived and checked in, Car Parking overseen by "Parking Eye" is a problem due to very high record of disputes with cowboy threats and unfair treatment of customers. At the time of our visit there were NO Signs in the car parks, (I looked for them) as they try to assert this forms a binding contract which is FALSE. The room was basic and beds comfy, but the public areas were evidence of "Careless Painters" with patches of spilled paint left on the carpets in several places, and over painted door frames and thresholds look as if vandals were employed. We had to ask for maint to fit two new bulbs in lights and get TV to work . A welcome card with some basic info and times of breakfast etc.would be good.

Easy check in by friendly staff. Good location being close to M11 and Epping Underground parking. No disabled parking available in the evening as workers vans parked in them. Clean & tidy room, comfortable bed. Breakfast could be improved, cooked options looked dry and overheated and no covers o the serving trays. Staff in restaurant looked scruffy , not wearing traditional outfit so thought they were guests to start with.

One night stay for a wedding nearby. My husband arrived in a separate car in the evening at 7pm when it was dark. The signage in the car park was not visible and the reception staff did not mention about registering his vehicle. He was there for 40 minutes before driving to the wedding venue to meet me. He has received a £100 fine for parking at the hotel which is outrageous.

Dirt and grime everywhere in hall ways in the rooms in the bar, restaurant not open for guests but for a a booking.

We stayed recently for two nights for a friends wedding. We were quite shocked at the state of the hotel room. The carpets were disgusting. The stains were unbelievable. The lights over the bed were completely mismatched. Overall it really needs a huge refurb. On the plus side, the staff were very friends and helpful. And the room was clean, but it just looked awful! We were quite a way from the reception and there weren’t any lifts.

I haven’t been to this hotel in a long long time since it was known as a Park Inn. Wow what an absolute disgrace this hotel is so run down and outdated.

I hired out the modern room to deliver training in, they are nice big rooms with a screen, projector and flipchart in. Water, tea, coffee and a lovely lunch was provided for my guests. I stayed overnight and my room was comfortable.

The whole experience wasn’t pleasant, in fact it was quite bizarre. Big gangs of people roaming around, dated decor and grubby carpets. It was like a holding centre almost. The corridors were lined with half eaten remains of room service food and the smell of weed was as strong as an Amsterdam cafe.

We very rarely stay in hotel rooms & with two large dogs have found finding accommodation very difficult. We booked with Harlow Hotel as a bit of an emergency with some trepidation after reading their reviews. We understand everyone has different expectations & experiences but for us we couldn’t have been more pleased. The staff were very friendly & welcoming. The room yes a little tiered & basic but clean, warm comfy bed & for one or two nights perfect. Lots of green spaces just outside & both field & common either side of the hotel for us to walk the dogs. Yes the hotel dose have refugees but from our stay the people we encountered were very friendly & polite. The hotel was very quite at night & their was security on the door at night when we needed a quick toilet dash for the dogs. All in all very happy with our stay & would definitely book again. Thank you.

Was shocked upon arrival how old & dated this place was, the lady on the reception said, we are a White Label hotel atm as we asked if this was an Accor Hotel and if we would receive points on our booking. We booked last minute half board, the steak that we ordered came our nearly all fat, & when we complained to the barman, his reply, spoken to chef we have no more & not much more of anything else and dont know when we will get another delivery.so asked for a cheeseboard, we dont have any cheese, asked for other things, no was the answer, all not available,Hopefully this is due to a MAJOR upgrade needed, and will then become the usual standard of Accor Hotels.
