I came for a day lon conference in the suites on the ground floor of the hotel. The rooms of different sizes were well equipped, we were very kindly and efficiently served with drinks by John. Lunch was impressively arranged but not necessarily on the healthy or filling side

Rita, Misha and John made us very welcome for dinner and then afterwards for our lovely cocktails. Extremely friendly, service was great and they all worked with a smile. The food menu was really good from lights bites, to steaks to very lovely mains. We had a couple of tapas sides and the fish and chips. The fries were and fish were really good. Overall really enjoyable evening

Stayed for two nights whilst visiting Nottingham. There was lots of parking available (£12 per day) and the staff at check in explained how to register the car. The hotel was perfect for what we needed - it was about a 25 minute walk into the city centre, on a bus route if needed. Walking 20 minutes in the opposite direction from the hotel we found some great restaurants too. We really liked the decor of the hotel, which takes inspiration from the lace centre and has pictures of city centre buildings. The bar area is really smart and we enjoyed cocktails in the evening. Breakfast was great, and even though it seemed quiet during our stay, everything was being replenished regularly and fresh hot items were being brought out constantly. We made use of the leisure facilities for an hour or two. The gym is very small and the pool area/changing rooms looking tired and in need of some TLC, but it was nice to have a swim and sauna. Our room was small but adequate, with a kettle, hairdryer and tv. It would have been handy to have an iron. The bathroom was nice and the shower always hot and powerful. Our only criticism of our stay was that the tv was in a box on the wall and this ended up very close to the bed, meaning one false move as you tried to do a sideways shimmy past it, would result in a bruise or two! Would definitely stay again if ever in the area.
