The staff were lovely and very welcoming. We enjoyed a good meal and had a very enjoyable evening at the winding wheel close by. The room was excellent and the facilities were good too. We had a very nice stay.

This hotel is absolutely disgusting. If you are thinking of booking it …. DONT. The room has a weird sicky smell the bed is that hard it offered me out some staff nice but one man very rude offering to send me colleague out on his bum. Save you’re money.

I stay here quite regularly. Room is fine for the price, staff are always pleasant. Typically I am placed on a higher floor - this time on the ground floor and people arriving back late were not as quiet as they could be. Woke both my mother and myself up - that is my only complaint . Will ask for a room on a higher floor next time

Close to the town centre, Nice clean rooms, Lovely reception area with bar /tv/coffee and teas. All you can eat breakfast with a good selection of breakfast items and drinks. I wish it had a evening meal option tho as I stay a few days sometimes and it can be expensive to always eat out but other than that the ibis is the one I always use atm

We have stayed at this hotel many times as staff are helpful and friendly, rooms comfortable and a great location. However this time was very disappointed. We booked two double rooms (304 & 306) and on entry on Friday the smell of poor drainage was overwhelming but particularly bad in our room. We mentioned it the following morning and was told maintenance did not work on a weekend but somebody would go and put boiling water/ disinfectant down the plug hole in the shower tray where the awful smell was coming from. This did not make much difference and on the Sat I had to return to the room as felt so ill. Disinfectant had been used but smell was awful. I couldn’t even face using the shower as it was so disgusting. All people in both rooms felt ill but unsure if linked to the drainage issue? As I spent the day in bed it was a horrible situation but the hotel was full and no other rooms available! Surely this should have been noticed and dealt with in both rooms prior to customers arriving. I was extremely disappointed as this was a weekend to celebrate a family birthday. Our weekend was spoiled because of this and we did mention our concerns again as we left and receptionist just said she would note it. I am writing this all in the review, not that it would make any difference to us, but to ensure this situation does not happen to anybody else.
