My stay at Mövenpick Sharm El Sheikh Resort was extremely disappointing and nowhere near the standard one expects from a five-star property. The single biggest issue — and the one that completely destroyed the experience — was the relentless advertising and harassment from people selling services all over the resort. Spa sellers, excursion agents, photographers — they are everywhere. On the beach, while relaxing, while having coffee, while simply walking across the property. At almost any moment someone would approach you and try to sell something. And it doesn’t happen once. It happens repeatedly throughout the day. There appears to be no control whatsoever from resort management over this behaviour. Guests cannot relax for even a short period without being interrupted by someone trying to sell a massage, a boat trip, or a photo shoot. It genuinely feels like walking through a street market rather than staying in a five-star resort. You come to a resort like this specifically to relax and disconnect. Instead, it feels like paying for a premium service while being forced to watch advertisements all day long. That is not what anyone expects when booking a property that markets itself as a luxury resort. Management seriously needs to explain how this is considered acceptable. Either there is no policy controlling vendors inside the resort, or it is simply not enforced. In either case, it reflects very poorly on the management of the property. The food situation was also disappointing. The resort is definitely not vegetarian-friendly. Mr Sherif and the restaurant staff did try to help us with vegetarian food, and their effort was appreciated, but the options were extremely limited, and the general quality of food was below average. Rooms were spacious, well maintained, and had very nice sea views with balconies. We had a small issue with the bathroom, but reception resolved it quickly. The beaches are the best part of the property. There are four beaches, two with sandy entry, which is great for swimming, and the snorkelling is very good. There are enough sunbeds and a jetty as well. However, even the beach — which should be the most peaceful part of the resort — is not spared from the constant sales pitches. Night entertainment was also surprisingly nonexistent. Considering the hotel is located in Naama Bay, where many nearby resorts have evening programmes or events, there was almost nothing happening here. One evening had a violin performance, but it was inside a café where you had to pay extra despite being on an all-inclusive package. The resort itself is spread across a large and beautiful property and has the potential to be one of the best resorts in the region. Unfortunately, the current guest experience is far from that. The management of Mövenpick should seriously reconsider the uncontrolled sales activity happening across the resort. Until this issue is addressed, guests simply cannot enjoy the peaceful and relaxing experience that a five-star resort is supposed to offer. I hope management responds publicly to explain whether they plan to fix this, because at the moment the constant harassment from vendors completely ruins what could otherwise be a very nice property.

Beautifully renovated hotel in Arabic style. The location is perfect with direct access to coral reefs from the beach and a diving center at the resort. The buffet restaurant offers a good variety of delicious food (primarily Egyptian food) but after a while it becomes a little monotonous.
