Hi, When I chosed the room I requested for king room, but when I checked in, I asked the person on reception that plz makr sure its kin bed and he said Ok… when I went to room I found out that they put two twin bed next to each other and cover them by big sheet to look like as king, however the bed was very bad and even pillow, so next day I asked them to change my bed to king and pillow, instead of changing my bed, they turn the twin bad to other side which become kore worse and at night I notice one side up and one side down..: the next morning I told the reception they said sorry our kind bed are noy available now, so my question is? If you do not have king bed, why dont you say from beginning that ur king bed are not available and I can change my hotel?? I had severe neck pain for 2 days which is from bad wuality of bed and pillow ur hotel offering to its customer. Unfortunately as Movenpick hotel I saw very bad room service, and Im not recommending it to anyone for sure.

I stayed at the hotel for nine nights and we had my son wedding at the hotel with many relative and friends stayed at the hotel during this time , it was a memorable time , everyone was happy and satisfied with the service and the staff from checking in to checking out , special thanks goes to Mr.Onur Cakici ,sales executive who was helpful, considerate and very professional who made it easier for me to organize the event remotely. Special thanks also goes to Ms.Selvi Ceyhan to the chef for excellent food during the party and to the Weddingland wedding planner for the beautiful decoration and excellent service. The hotel reception personnel and the room service also deserves special mention.

We had the best experience at the Movenpick hotel. Most professional and friendly staff. The room was so beautiful, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and had varieties of food. Not to be missed experience.

Many of the staff speak poor English , which makes communication a bit difficult The restaurant staff aren’t well trained and the same goes with the coffee shop down stairs. Room service was slow

Misleading 5 star hotel

One first thought after our experience: isn't it interesting that 90% of the reviews of this hotel in Google maps are made by reviewers that only have 1 review in Google and are all 5 stars? Interesting as well that in all these reviews the "customer" remembered the name of the manager or an employee? Just food for thought. Even though this hotel is set at 5 starts, it's quite far away from what a true 5 star service hotel should be. A quick description from a random website on a 5 star hotel (investopedia): "As a guest in a five-star hotel, you will not have to lift a finger (except for when you hand over that credit card, of course). Many of these hotels provide their guests with a personal butler or designated concierge." Our experience was quite far away from this description. As from other 5 star hotels that we've been (even in Accor network): the service should be anticipated instead of reactive; the employees are courteous and please to serve instead of haughty or border insolent. The general problem with this hotel seemed to be a management and training poorness. That is why we wouldn't want to detail the moments when we felt the service was not at par with other 5 star hotels. We believe it's not the employees fault that the service was crap, but a clear lack of training and coaching on how to treat customers and their 5 start expectations. Just one example that cannot be directly linked to an employee of the hotel: this video shows the noise in our suite at 3am coming from either the air-conditioning (which was off) or the sprinklers system. Again, reminding that it's a 5 start hotel, and that you're not expecting anything less in terms of linens, bed confort etc., but in terms of service we could at best rate this hotel as a nice family run inn.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel in my spacious room; The hotel was very clean and all the Covid safety rules were followed. All the staff (in particular Ms. Fahriye) from house keeping, to restaurants and management were super friendly, respectful & helpful. 24 hrs room service was very good. The restaurant staff (in particular, Chefs Sadi & Emin) were so kind and welcoming, serving nice breakfasts every morning. All in all, it was a nice & memorable stay at Movenpick Golden Horn :)

The staff is extremely professional and welcoming, with smiles and good vibes especially Yusuf and Vedat, except one woman receptionist who wasn’t really nice, other than that I enjoyed every single minute in this hotel because of the nice staff , the rooms were clean and the room service was really good

Great Stay Home Away From Home

I usually stay at Movenpick Golden Horn whenever I want to stay in the Eyup Sultan Area. The service level of the employees of this hotel is exceptional. They handle all your request with courtesy and a smile. Only issue I had is that my booking was cancelled due to my credit card not being validated but I had called and informed them that is because they entered the wrong expiry date. This was also resolved very smoothly.
