Not the spec you expect for 5 star resort

We traveled to Tropical Queensland for 9 night stay, we choose Beach Club Palm Beach as special treat for 3 nights as rated 5 Stars. We had a 1 bedroom apartment overlooking the lagoon pool and was so disappointing. The resort feels very dark and closed in, concrete jungle. Due to such a big resort it meant the pools were very crowded. We booked outside of Peak School Holidays so did not expect this. It was like the whole complex needed a good waterblast and clean up. We choose to leave after 1 night and source other accommodation. They fully refunded the un-used nights so we were very thankful.

Die Lage ist gut, direkt am Strand durch eine Straße getrennt. Das Frühstück war gut, allerdings hätten frische Säfte das ganze aufgewertet. Unser Penthouse war für 2 Personen eigentlich zu groß, ist aber auch gedacht für 4 Personen. Die Geräteaustattung war perfekt, von Waschmaschine über Trockner, Spülmaschine, Herd, Backofen, Mikrowelle, Kühlschrank alles vorhanden. Die Beleuchtung der einzelnenen Räume war unmöglich, muss dringend erneuert werden. Genauso ist das 2,5 m2 große Bad mit Dusche, die von der Größe okay ist, mit einem Mini Waschbecken und 0 Ablagemöglichkeit ein Witz. Bei 2 Personen war es schon nicht machbar zusammen im Bad zu stehen, wie soll das mit 4 Personen funktionieren? Preisleistung passt in meinen Augen ganz und gar nicht. Das kostenlose WiFi funktioniert nur ab und an.

Das Peppers gehört sicherlich zu den schönsten Hotels in Palm Cove. Die Zimmer sind gross, sauber und ruhig und das Personal sehr hilfsbereit. Die Pool Anlage ist ebenfalls super. Besonders hervor zu heben ist der dedizierte Parkplatz für jedes Zimmer. Auch sonst ist die Anlage sehr gepflegt und gut in Schuss. Leider hat das Hotel einen groben Konzeptfehler: Es gibt keinen einzigen Lift. Wenn man im 3. oder 4. Stock sein Zimmer hat, kann das ganz schnell zur Schweisstreibenden Angelegenheit werden wenn draussen über 30 Grad herrschen, das ist leider der Wermutstropfen daran. Ist aber trotzdem empfehlenswert.

Comment peut il être possible qu' un hôtel comme celui-ci soit dans la catégorie de 5 étoiles..... Je vous laisse jugé par ces photos. La nuit était tout de même facturée plus de 230 US$. Je veux bien comprendre que suite à l' ouragan Jasper il y a eu quelques problème de gestion mais pas un tel état de négligence.

Tout était parfait. L'accueil, la réception des bagages ,les conseils du concierge et la présence d'un parking. La chambre est un véritable appartement avec tout ce qu'il faut pour cuisiner et linge. Dans un décor tropical avec une vue dur sur une piscine splendide
