Lagoon Bar, rude staff, overpriced food - AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

This is specifically about the Lagoon bar at Pullman Sea Temple Palm Cove. I would give it 0/5 if I could. I found the service at the bar to be appalling and absolutely taking the piss with prices. I took my kids there for ice-cream. It was pretty slow and the bar staff saw us but didn’t offer to serve us. Another bar staff member barked rudely at my children to move aside when they were excitedly looking at the ice cream options and not getting in the way. All the ice-cream options were lactose free and flat-tasting. It was $6 each for two pathetically small scoops of ice-cream, $1 holiday surcharge (with which I don’t have a problem) but a 7.5% surcharge for using a debit card. After all that, they had the audacity to ask for a tip. Tip for what? Bad product, rude staff and epically slow service. Save your money and go elsewhere.

A fuir , spa et salle de sport fermés sans nous avoir prévenu, pourtant prix xxl! Appartement avec piscine privée Froide , à l ombre toute la journée avec pour seule vue une mangrove et des feuilles qui vous tombent dessus pas même une musique de fond , pas de chambre de courtoisie après le Check out ! un petit déjeuner :7 plats préparés sans possibilité de modification :allergie et régime alimentaire spéciale s abstenir !! Pas de bagagistes à l arrivée ni au départ !

Es handelt sich um eine sehr große, gut konzipierte Anlage, für die Umgebung vielleicht etwas zu gewaltig. Zwei Pools, direkter Strandzugang, ruhig gelegen. Wir hatten ein wirklich sehr geräumiges Zimmer mit vorgelagertem überdachtem Balkon. Auch wenn in einer Schlechtwetterperiode, wie wir sie dort erlebten, manches etwas trüber aussieht: Nach gut 20 Jahren in Betrieb sind Abnutzungserscheinungen nicht zu übersehen. Das durchweg freundliche Personal arbeitet nicht gut koordiniert, so dass es etwa bei der Maintenance manchmal hakt. Oder die Bar eine Woche lang keinen Tomatensaft für Bloody Mary hat. Was gar nicht geht, ist das Restaurant, zugleich Frühstücksraum, mit dem Charme einer tschechoslowakischen Kantine der 1960er Jahre. Gemessen an dem offiziellen 5-Sterne-Standard des Hotels reicht das nur für die Note Befriedigend.

Estilo resort, o hotel é bom para curtir a tranquilidade. A praia em frente é linda, mas o mar é agitado e não é recomendável entrar. Assim, a praia vale mais para uma caminhada. Os quartos são espaçosos e confortaveis. O unico porem do hotel é ficar bem afastado da cidade de Cairns. Dá quase ma hora de ônibus

Hotel é interessante para quem quer ficar mais tempo, pois os quartos são grandes e bem equipados com cozinha completa e laundry. O restaurante do hotel é muito bom e vários outros ficam a poucas quadras de distância. Super tranquilo para caminhar, dia e noite na cidade. Spa do hotel e de hotel vizinhos são ótimos. Praia boa para caminhadas, enquanto estive lá não pude nadar por causa de água-viva. Palm Cove só é interessante se tiver com carro alugado e poder fazer viagens para Cairns ou Port Douglas, pois fica no meio do caminho de ambas cidades, que são mais movimentadas.
