The Reef House Palm Cove 5 estrelas

The staff were very friendly and could not do enough for us from being welcomed on arrival to the day we left. The hotel is located over the road from the beach and the dinning room overlooks the water. You can join in the activities or sit by the pool and relax. We loved it.

I surprised my wife for our 40th wedding anniversary with a 9 night stay and couldn’t fault the service & overall experience. The staff were always on hand to help with whatever we needed. We will return for another relaxing stay.

Reef House is the best accommodation in Palm Cove, and Palm Cove is better than Cairns and Port Douglas, but without the shops, which may be a good thing, or not. We loved our holiday there and we keep going back. Yes we visit Cairns and Port Douglas for shopping. Thank you Reef House

Wow!!! The Reef house is a tropical dream accommodation. Absolutely stunning location across from palm trees and beach. So much better than staying in Cairns. The actual Reef House resort has history which gives it character along with luxurious elegance. We were thrilled from the minute we arrived and were met by Cedric the concierge who provided us with chilled towelettes and refreshing drinks, showed us around and made sure all our needs were met. All the staff are amazingly friendly, they are highly professional and have the guests interests as their priority. Breakfasts are a highlight, the sunrises on the water and shines golden rays into the open dining area as you sit coffee or fresh juice in hand deciding on which delight to order. There are so many facilities and activities to enjoy, the different pools (we even had our own private pool), spa, bar, yoga on the beach, the study area etc. A pleasant surprise were all the thoughtful inclusions such as aperitifs and canapés daily. The restaurant is 5 star top quality, We can definitely recommend the seafood platter, During our stay we celebrated a birthday, Claudio the restaurant manger, looked after us with a personalised dessert. Even as we left for an early flight we found a breakfast box in the fridge for us to take. We were really sad to leave, northern Queensland has a lot to offer but the Reef House and it’s staff were really what we hated to leave. It’s up there with the best accommodation worldwide.

I can honestly say one of the best (if not the best) Hotel I have stayed at in Australia. I hope I can get to their other Hotel in SA soon. Imagine those times when Hotels delivered exceptional customer service combined with facilities that made you immediately feel you were on holiday. This Hotel delivers everything and more. Firstly you arrive at a beautiful location, secondly you are greeted with smiles a welcome drink and staff only to willing to give you the time to explain all you need to know. You then go to your room which is super comfortable with little touches which immediately make you realise you are in for a treat. Champagne (the real stuff), water bottle, cap, coffee, robes and so much more. You then explore the hotel with two pools offering crystal clear water which just seems better than all the others (don’t know why perhaps the minerals etc), comfy areas to relax and a drinks service straight to you and your book. (You don’t need to break up your reading). Cool towels delivered to you, afternoon sorbet and drinks & canapés at the Brigadier Bar are all inclusions which just make for a special experience. They even have activities like cocktail making etc and Yoga which inadvertently get you meeting other guests even if it is for an hour or two. We personally love the bikes (no need for a car) and exploring all the local beachside towns easily accessible on bike friendly paths. Breakfast and Dinner on the veranda hard to beat with good old fashioned continental service (the sort of service you rarely see in Australia but in abundance in European Mediterranean villages). I could go on but you get the picture. This Hotel is now part of our annual list of must do’s. I cannot recommend it high enough and you can be assured you too will make it a regular fixture in your diary.
